00:02 From almost the first session of day one,
00:15 it was 50/50 the whole way along.
00:17 Like it just never felt like it swung too far
00:21 one way or the other.
00:22 And I reckon that was the same until about,
00:25 yeah, 15, 20 minutes ago.
00:28 It just felt 50/50 the whole match.

00:33 - When he was in his crease and then left his crease
00:41 to come out and have the conversation in between overs
00:44 like every batsman does.
00:45 I think if I was a fielding captain at the time,
00:50 I would have put a bit more, well,
00:51 a lot more pressure on the umpires to ask them
00:54 what their decision was around the over.
00:58 And then would have had to have a real think
01:01 around the spirit of the game and would I want to
01:04 potentially win a game with something like that happening?
01:10 And it would be no.

01:14 - Your speed kind of flashed up on the screen
01:24 and the crowd at Western Terrace or wherever else
01:27 got pretty excited by that.
01:28 Can you give us a feel of what that feels like
01:30 as a fast bowler?
01:32 - Woo hoo!
01:33 - Especially at home.
01:34 (laughing)
01:34 - Need more water?
01:36 - No.
01:37 Woo hoo!
01:37 (laughing)

01:41 - As a group, proud that we've retained the Ashes.
01:52 But it's off the back of not our greatest week.
01:55 So, yeah, it feels like, you know,
01:58 good that we've won the Ashes, sorry, retained the Ashes.
02:02 But we know we've got a fair bit of work to do
02:04 for next week.

02:08 - I know I'm not the most skillful player that's played.
02:19 I know that I need every inch of my competitive spirit
02:21 and my drive and my effort to get anything out
02:25 of my ability.
02:26 And I would say every day I've pulled on a Nottingham shirt
02:30 and an England shirt.
02:33 I've given my heart and soul.
02:34 (upbeat music)
02:50 - Whether we like it or not, you know,
02:52 Ashes tend to define eras or legacies.
02:55 So I think that's the case on this one.
02:57 I think it's something we can be really proud of.
02:59 Both, you know, the last two series over here,
03:01 we've retained the Ashes.
03:03 That doesn't happen very often.
03:04 - It's basically been everything that I think I could've
03:07 asked for, minus getting the own back.
