Massive Disk Found In Early Universe Challenges Galaxy Formation Theories

A massive, rotating disk galaxy designated DLA0817g and nicknamed the "Wolfe Disk," formed just 1.5 billion years after the Big Bang. It was discovered using ALMA, the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array in Chile.
