00:46 Let me tell you something, me and Adele having a good time just enjoying ourselves,
00:50 just rooting for our friends.
00:51 So this is an amazing night.
00:53 This is so unexpected.
00:55 Okay, now that I'm up here and I'm calm,
00:59 I want to dedicate this award to Prince.
01:02 My niece is sick.

01:07 >> When we lost Prince,
01:08 I decided to dedicate my life to making positive music.
01:12 And I was like, I don't care if my positivity bother you, what's wrong with you?

01:20 >> And this was at a time when positive
01:22 music and feel good music wasn't mainstream at that point.
01:25 And I felt very misunderstood.
01:28 I felt on the outside looking in.
01:31 But I stayed true to myself because I wanted to make the world a better place,
01:38 so I had to be that change to make the world a better place.

01:44 >> And now I look around and
01:46 there's all these songs that are about loving our bodies and
01:50 feeling comfortable in our skin and feeling fucking good.

01:57 >> And I'm just so proud to be a part of it,
02:00 because in a world where there's a lot of darkness and a lot of scary shit.
02:05 I'd like to believe that not only can people do good, but we just are good.
02:11 We are good inherently.
02:13 And anybody at home who feels misunderstood or
02:17 on the outside looking in like I did, just stay true to yourself.
02:21 Because I promise you, you will find people,
02:25 you will attract people in your life who believe in you and support you.
