00:00 The Orange Eagles under 14s basketball team has had an awesome season.
00:09 I think we've now played 19 games over the course of the season, won 16 including the
00:17 Western Junior League basketball competition which has qualified us for the State Cup which
00:23 is coming up this Saturday.
00:29 It's not something we've had too much experience with as an association in recent years so
00:36 this is a really big step and I think it's a great achievement for these boys at such
00:42 a young age, under 14s, to be able to have a taste of the State Cup.
00:47 It really sets us up.
00:48 Hartford's not the only time that we get to qualify for the State Cup and I'm sure as
00:53 an association we're looking to see more teams qualify for the State Cup in the future.
00:59 It's going to be a big step up for our guys.
01:03 Winning Western Junior League is a great achievement but we're now coming up against all the other
01:08 winners from the other areas including the North Eastern League, Southern League and
01:13 the semi-finalists and winners from the Metro Junior League as well.
01:18 We know the quality of play is going to be really good and quality of teams but these
01:25 guys have earned their right to be there and I can't wait to see what they can do.
