We speak to the man behind the new Rage Room in Maidstone

00:02 - Do something that nobody else has done,

00:07 My daughter wanted to have a birthday party

00:12 at a rave room, we couldn't find one,

00:15 so we created one.

00:16 And it's just gone absolutely crazy,

00:18 the bookings are mad.

00:19 We just couldn't last for more, really,

00:22 and that's where we are right now.

00:24 It's roughly four meters by three meters,

00:26 and we put loads of breakable items in there,

00:28 a few electrical items in there.

00:30 We give them 30 minutes to go mental.

00:32 It's got nine releases of stress.

00:35 A lot of Americans use it for therapy.

00:38 Yeah, people go crazy for it, and they love it.

00:40 They come in, and everybody who's come in

00:42 has said they will come back,

00:43 so we can't really ask for more than that.

00:45 It didn't go well on the first weekend.

00:47 We made lots of mistakes, not happy to admit that,

00:51 but we learned from those mistakes,

00:52 we learned from the customers.

00:54 The staff are brilliant,

00:58 and yeah, between us, we got through first weekend.

01:00 We're about to start our second weekend,

01:02 full second weekend.

01:03 We say we've got the extra in as well.

01:07 That's a little bit of a passion of mine,

01:11 and we had extra space, really.

01:14 Plus, when you think a road room is over in half an hour,

01:18 if we wanted to start doing Christmas parties

01:20 and stuff like that, we can have,

01:21 essentially, up to 20 people doing extra in,

01:24 and we can have six people in here and get them rotating.

01:28 When our kitchen and bar opens,

01:29 we can make a pretty much half a day fun.
