Hunter King Hated Leaving Y&R Because of This Reason

00:04 and the Restless a while ago. And this time she is looking back at her time in Y&R and memories

00:09 especially with her Skyle storyline. She also opened up about a reason which made her hate

00:18 The talented and gorgeous Hunter King joined the cast of The Young and the Restless in 2012

00:29 and was instantly a heartthrob. But her time on the show came to an end when she wanted to move

00:33 on with career and move on to bigger things. So, she left the show in the fall of 2021 and went

00:39 to sign a multi-picture contract with Hallmark. Ever since, she has been killing it with her new

00:44 contract in Hallmark Channel and she even just came out with her new movie, A Royal Corgi Christmas.

00:49 And let us tell you, it is the most adorable, romantic movie and we couldn't get enough of it.

00:55 But now, let's rewind a bit. Although she is very successful and famous and thriving,

01:00 she hasn't forgotten her roots. Hunter still looks back fondly on her days on The Young

01:04 and the Restless especially the time when she played Summer and the hunky Michael Miller played

01:09 Kyle. They went through some serious drama with their storyline but they didn't get that big,

01:13 juicy, happy ending payoff. And you know what Hunter wished for? A Skyle wedding none of us

01:19 got to see, more specifically a splashy Kyle Summer wedding. In an interview with Soap She

01:24 Knows, King said, "I grew up being the typical little girl that dreamt of having her fantasy

01:28 wedding. So it was, for sure, a part of me that wanted to live out that crazy wedding,

01:33 a soap opera wedding too." She even got emotional discussing the topic and added,

01:37 "Sometimes I was sad that we didn't get that splashy wedding. After all, who can forget the

01:42 Skyle off-screen wedding, which got all the fans mad and who could blame them right?"

01:46 But that's not the only one she didn't get to act out. In 10 years of Y&R, not once did King get to

01:52 play a mother. So, she wanted that to happen too. She was a bit bummed they didn't explore in that

01:58 area. She said, "Sometimes I was sad that we didn't get the Summer Kyle baby because I always

02:03 asked to be a mom on set. Although she is sad that didn't happen, she is more of a 'everything

02:08 happens for a reason' kind of gal. So, she has no hard feelings. It's all in the past now."

02:13 She may not have gotten a big wedding or a kid on Y&R, we are pretty sure she will get to have

02:18 one on her multi-picture contract with Hallmark. After all, if you haven't noticed, their movies

02:23 usually have a wedding scene. I'm sure she will get a chance to play it. Hunter is doing her thing

02:28 and rocking it and we all love seeing her do that and we can't wait for more.
