Your NFL preseason kickoff forecast

It's hard to believe that that time has come yet again, but if you're ready for football action, here's the forecast to expect on Aug. 10.

00:00 Okay, football is back as the NFL gets ready for preseason action this week.

00:05 Jeff Cornish takes a look at the forecast details across the country in tonight's field

00:10 Well, we have some scattered showers and thunderstorms that will be in the neighborhood of the Boston

00:16 Metro, so look out there at Gillette Field, Gillette Stadium on Thursday evening.

00:22 It's hard to believe that the NFL preseason schedule is already here.

00:28 Mr. Cosgren will be interested in this one, but we're going to be keeping an eye on the

00:32 radar because Thursday is not the ideal picture-perfect day.

00:35 But the convective nature of these showers and storms typically leads us to a spot where

00:39 it doesn't rain for hours and hours.

00:41 It just may rain hard for a period of time.

00:43 Lightning could be a danger.

00:44 As we head farther to the northwest, here we have another early preseason matchup, Minnesota

00:50 at Seattle, and there won't be many weather hurdles here at 7 p.m. Pacific time.

00:55 Low 70s there.

00:56 And the PGA TOUR heads to Memphis, Tennessee.

00:58 It's going to be a humid and occasionally stormy time here.

01:06 with a chance for some strong thunderstorms.
