00:00 I'm meteorologist Tony Loback in Yuma, Colorado. Tuesday was a very busy severe
00:04 weather day across the eastern part of the state including near here in Yuma
00:08 and really all of Yuma County is a long track supercell that developed up near
00:12 Sterling early on Tuesday afternoon slowly tracks southeast through the
00:16 county dropping several tornadoes including this very large tornado which
00:20 we aired live on the AccuWeather Network as it was happening this tornado
00:24 touching down just northwest of the city of Yuma fortunately sparing the town as
00:29 the tornado moved just off to the east and south we did see later on that
00:34 evening some telephone poles knocked down crews are busy fixing those and
00:37 some extremely large hail also found south of the city but Yuma itself
00:41 spared any significant issues other than some minor tree damage in town from the
00:46 torrential rain and hail that did come through with that supercell fortunately
00:50 not much in the way of damage reports coming out of Colorado with the
00:53 exception of Yuma most of these tornadoes stayed well away from
00:56 populated areas eastern Colorado very sparsely populated so very good news for
01:01 folks there even avoiding a lot in the way of crops as really it's just a lot
01:05 of ranch land out here so not a whole lot for these tornadoes to affect but
01:09 certainly were quite the sight the storm producing multiple tornadoes including a
01:13 couple of smaller tornadoes before and after the big tornado that came near the
01:17 town of Yuma much quieter weather in store for eastern Colorado and when it
01:21 has been one of the busier seasons we've seen in this state to date reporting for
01:25 AccuWeather in Yuma, Colorado. I'm meteorologist Tony Laubach.
