Yorkshire’s Black Sheep Brewery has launched a new beer in support of rugby league legend Rob Burrow. Burrow’s Blonde has been brewed in partnership with the Good Racing Co, a good causes racing club which began fundraising for Rob with a charity racehorse in his name.
It now runs the Rob Burrow Racing Club, supporting the Motor Neurone Disease Association and The Rob Burrow 7 Discretionary Trust, which was set up to support Rob and his young family after the former Leeds Rhinos player was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in December 2019.

00:35 >> I formed a good racing club, came up with the idea of fundraising for R.O.B. probably three years ago now.
00:43 And so far we've managed to raise 180 grand.
00:46 We've done that through horse racing funnily enough.
00:50 We've managed to set up individual memberships, corporate memberships.
00:56 For some reason I was drinking copious amounts of red wine and came up with the idea of VIA.
01:01 So I approached the guys over here at Black Sheep, gave them a bit of a brief.
01:06 And they sort of joined in with it, embraced it.
01:10 And now they've created this beer, Beryl's Blind, which is why we're here now.
01:14 >> And what good will it do, Lindsay?
01:17 What good will the funding from this do?
01:22 >> Well, it's a racing co. and we've joined up with the brewery and created this Beryl's Blind which will support the MND charities and the House Trust Fund which is, I don't know, amazing.
01:31 It's just great fun.
