00:11 I love the way that you've tackled your transition

00:14 and the language that you use, I think is really powerful.

00:17 Growing up, my parents called me Jessica, that's my dead name,

00:21 but I go by Jessie now.

00:23 Being able to just wake up and go out of my house

00:29 and feel comfortable knowing that I look like a passable female

00:33 is going to be such a relief for me.

00:36 I honestly don't know if this world is ever going to be ready

00:42 to accept trans people just because it is a big deal.

00:47 You're changing your gender.

00:49 The reason I've embarked on this journey is because

00:53 I don't feel that the world understands what it means to be trans.

00:59 Alright, so, it's kind of a process,

01:03 but that's my actual testosterone.

01:06 I also just have always wanted mine and my daughter's story out there.

01:10 I just think nobody has talked about being a trans parent.

01:14 That story just hasn't been told enough.

01:16 I'm excited to get this done and legally be Stassi.

01:21 So this is what they call a tucking gash.

01:29 So, have you considered getting gender reassignment surgery?

01:33 I truly do think I look beautiful now,

01:37 but I just want to feminize some things.

01:39 Does it have to be one or the other?

01:49 Can we think of things more on a spectrum?

01:51 Can we think of things as not so black and white?

01:53 If I had one message for the world,

01:56 it would be that transgender people are way more similar to you than they are different.

02:00 The fact that she doesn't have to go through the stuff that I went through

02:04 makes me proud because I did go through it,

02:06 which means probably that I did it for her.

02:08 Something that I tell transgender kids or queer kids is that

02:12 you're not alone and I understand you.

02:14 And that's my message to not only the community, but to the entire world.
