00:00 I'll stand here. Thank you very much, Kathy, and thank you, Harriet, for all... It makes
00:07 me emotional to think about all the work that both of you have done, and especially Harriet,
00:16 from the start of this campaign. It's been... Yeah, you've kind of been thinking about that,
00:22 how long you've been fighting, and I really hope now that we're coming to a critical point
00:27 where that's all going to come off. So, thank you. Thank you.
00:33 As a young person, I think I can speak for us when I say we look upon this phenomenon
00:40 with... This phenomenon of climate change and all the things that are driving it, we
00:45 look upon this phenomenon with deep fear, but also profound excitement, because we understand
00:57 that people have been pretty stupid about this, and it allowed it to continue for so
01:04 many decades, but I think that there comes a point where people will understand that
01:10 this simply cannot go on. So, this is real. It's very real, and that's the frightening
01:16 part of it, but the exciting part of it is that human beings have this unsuppressible
01:24 spirit to survive, and I firmly believe, as a representative of the incoming generation,
01:31 that we will overcome this issue. It's going to take a hell of a lot of work, but we're
01:37 not going to let it happen, are we? No. And there is, I believe, some serious momentum
01:43 now that is founded on all the decades of work that has been done by First Nations people,
01:49 by Harriet, by all the people who have been involved in this campaign for decades. We're
01:54 now seeing multiple states repealing, removing the practice of native logging. Victoria has
02:01 pledged to stop it in 2024, and it is time now. Christie, Doc Holland, it is time now
02:08 for it to stop in New South Wales, in Australia, throughout the world. But Christie, Doc Holland,
02:16 all the people here today, we can make it happen. We have the momentum now. So, what
02:22 we need to do is we need to keep turning up to these things. We need to keep taking these
02:26 videos and telling the story of what's happening. We need to keep talking to each other, keep
02:33 doing the little things, keep putting your hand up to do something. Sign this petition
02:38 that's going around, an essential petition. That's to do with the Tira Beach DA, an incredibly
02:45 important piece of ecology that we can save if we get things like that petition across
02:50 the line. So, let's do this. Christie, if you're listening, Christie, this is what the
02:57 people want. Thank you for being here, Christie. Thank you everybody for coming out. It's incredible
03:11 to see this sort of support and a public expression of goodwill. I'm excited about the future.
03:18 Fearful, but excited. So, thank you. Thank you all very much.
03:23 Thank you.
