00:00 Honestly, I was really excited about the sci-fi aspect and just the fact that it was written based on a book.
00:06 I thought it was really interesting. When I was younger, I went through like a weird,
00:09 really random sci-fi romance novel phase, which I thought was very specific to the script.
00:17 So it made me, like something inside me was like, "Oh my god, lit up again about it."
00:22 I play Chloe Marsh and I would describe her as a
00:28 smart, innovative,
00:30 not aggressive, but like a go-getter sort of. I feel like she,
00:35 I feel like she cares a lot more for her family than she lets on. I feel like her family,
00:40 they're always all kind of fighting, but she wants the best for them.
00:43 And I think she will do anything to make sure that her and the people she cares about are good and set in life.
00:52 The world that this takes place in is
00:56 crazy and these aliens have come and they hover over us constantly, 24/7.
01:03 And they've kind of just completely ruined the,
01:07 they've ruined everything and they think they've made it better,
01:12 but they've ruined a lot and then they've also divided the people of planet Earth like entirely, like even more so.
01:20 They've divided them and you know, the rich people, they can go live up top and then
01:26 and the people before that would have had a respect on Earth now have lost that respect
01:33 completely and entirely and the world is just kind of like, it looks like there was like a war. Everything's dilapidated and just like
01:41 down to its bones basically. Yeah, it's a struggle for sure.
01:48 I would describe Adam to be a very
01:52 sweet, thoughtful,
01:55 artistic
01:56 person. I feel like he feels
01:58 emotions a lot more than Chloe does,
02:02 which comes into play a little later, which is a little sad, but he definitely feels, he feels things a lot.
02:10 I don't know if that makes sense, but he's very empathetic.
02:13 I think she does genuinely like him, but I think to her and her mindset, because she is less
02:19 emotional than Adam, I think
02:24 she sort of puts
02:26 making money for her family first, which she literally says in a scene, but I think she truly does
02:35 like Adam a lot, but I think at some point she realizes maybe
02:40 he is into her more than she is into him and
02:46 I think that is kind of what like puts her back a little bit and is like maybe we shouldn't do the broadcast anymore,
02:52 because I think a part of her just feels bad.
02:54 So a courtship broadcast is
02:57 when two people,
03:00 they have these, in the movie they have like nodes and they can
03:04 either like get things from the Vuv or they can broadcast signals to the Vuv, so they start
03:10 basically doing live streams of them like going on cute little dates, like
03:15 totally like glamorized lifestyle, like pretending the earth isn't like falling apart.
03:22 And
03:23 the Vuv, it's kind of like a TV show for them. They watch and they get money from it.
03:28 Working with Asante is the best. He's super funny. We're both always sleeping, generally.
03:36 We both sleep a lot in the green room, but he's super fun to work with, super funny, very cool.
03:42 Tiffany's hilarious. I haven't worked with her much. I've only worked with her two or three days,
03:49 but she's so funny. Every time she's on set, every single person is just like laughing the whole time.
03:54 Corey's great. I think he's one of the nicest directors I've worked with. He's so sweet.
04:01 Yeah, he really knows, I appreciate him because he really knows how to
04:07 speak to his actors, you know what I mean? He knows how to talk to people in general.
04:12 He's just a very understanding person,
04:15 and if you want to change a line or add a line or you want to do something differently,
04:19 he's always open to anything you want to try, and I think it's so great to have such an understanding,
04:25 outspoken director.
