00:00 What I love about it is that oftentimes movies or stories about advanced race, alien races
00:08 come in.
00:10 They're often portrayed as being maybe more enlightened or more, and I think this takes
00:16 the idea of, the Vov I think are very much sort of a Milton Friedman-esque economic,
00:22 the markets are always right kind of mentality, and I think they are very, the way they see
00:32 not just the world, but all the worlds, all the galaxies, is that, yeah, the markets are
00:38 always right.
00:39 It's an extreme version of late-stage capitalism in which everything is commodified, and it's
00:49 just an extension really of taking those ideas that we've seen on this world and applying
00:56 it to a sort of pan, multi-universe or galaxy, taking it to the extreme.
01:05 Chloe, Mr. Marsh's daughter, I think is a little more pragmatic and driven and is figuring
01:18 out how to play by the rules and how to make it work for her.
01:24 A courtship broadcast is something where humans broadcast their mating rituals to the Vov,
01:36 and it's really just, I mean, I think it seems like an extension of reality TV where people
01:42 love to watch other people's lives, and the question is, well, how real is that?
01:47 How performative are people being for the camera?
01:51 Tiffany is a force of nature, and she has this incredible energy on set where she does
01:56 just the right amount of joking and keeping everyone up and energized, and then as soon
02:02 as action is called, she's completely focused and in it and just very alive.
02:10 It's an amazing gift because sometimes I think, oh, I can either be joking with the crew or
02:16 I can be just waiting for the scene.
02:19 She seems to be able to do that both.
02:20 It's something I really admire.
02:23 Asante is so cool.
02:25 What a cool guy, man.
02:29 He seems to really have a great sense of himself, which is something, I don't know how old he
02:35 is, but he just seems to have this really solid head on his shoulders.
02:42 He's always reading off in our little tent, but then playing and joking, but he just seems
02:53 to really know what he, his path.
02:56 He seems very focused and just really seems to know who he is.
03:01 Again, one of those actors where I just feel like he's just so in it and real.
