00:03 My name is Darren Guccione.
00:07 I'm the CEO and co-founder of Keeper Security.
00:10 We're a cybersecurity software company headquartered in Chicago.
00:14 Password managers are tools that enable
00:16 you to track, store, protect, and share,
00:19 as well as manage passwords for any application, website,
00:23 or service.
00:25 Why is this so important?
00:27 Because more than 80% of the time,
00:29 when there's a data breach, it's the result
00:31 of weak or stolen login credentials, i.e.
00:34 passwords and usernames, that are harvested on the dark web.
00:38 There's over 20 billion stolen login,
00:41 what we call T-pairs, i.e. a username and password,
00:45 that are transacted, i.e.
00:46 bought and sold, by and among cyber criminals
00:49 to propagate attacks.
00:51 So when you use a password manager,
00:53 you log into it with one master password or your biometric,
00:57 i.e. a fingerprint or your face ID.
01:01 And this allows you to quickly access, organize, and secure
01:06 all of your passwords and private information
01:08 to protect you against the cyber criminal,
01:11 and at the same time, allow you to quickly log in--
01:14 and I mean fast--
01:16 into any website application and system.
01:19 One of the other things that you also can set
01:21 is what we call two-factor authentication.
01:24 Two-factor authentication is something that you have,
01:27 and something that you know.
01:29 So for example, if you have a password and a biometric,
01:32 those are two factors.
01:33 The reason why this is so important
01:36 is it is one of the most effective means
01:39 to protect yourself against a remote attack.
01:43 Because quite often, when you're being attacked,
01:45 it's not necessarily state cyber within your home
01:48 or within an organization, but it's
01:51 a remote attacker that may be located
01:53 in a different country who's trying to penetrate
01:56 one of your online accounts.
01:57 So having two-factor authentication
01:59 turned on for every application website that offers it
02:03 is absolutely critical and highly recommended.
02:06 So I would just say, stop worrying
02:09 about creating and remembering all
02:10 of those different passwords.
02:12 Use a password manager.
02:14 It's going to give you full end-to-end encryption
02:17 and protect you from cyber criminals.
02:19 Again, this is Darren Guccione, CEO and co-founder
02:22 of Keeper Security.
02:23 Thank you so much.
