00:00:00 Hello, I'm Isabel Mello and welcome to a very grey and rainy KMTV stage here at Priory
00:00:27 Live Music Festival 2023. But rain never hurt anyone, so let's get ready for lots of talented
00:00:33 artists from all across the county performing for you today. Let's welcome our first act
00:00:38 to the stage, singer-songwriter Autumn Willow.

00:12:39 Well that was an amazing performance, thank you guys.
00:12:41 Autumn, Mike, tell me a bit about yourselves as musicians and your music a little bit please.
00:12:46 Thank you. Yeah, no, so I started doing music four years ago last month.
00:12:51 Mike joined me on bass all the way and I wouldn't be where we are today without his support.
00:12:57 So I mostly started doing it for my mental health and people just kept telling me to share my music.
00:13:03 So I did. But yeah, now I'm really enjoying it and hosting open mics and going to loads of festivals and events.
00:13:11 And yeah, it's really fun and yeah, I really enjoy it.
00:13:14 So it's kind of like indie kind of folk kind of whatever you want to call it.
00:13:20 Yeah, and I heard the crowd absolutely loving your music, so that's very good.
00:13:24 And how did you find playing the stage today then?
00:13:27 Yeah, I mean, I think it's probably like the clearest sound that I've ever had.
00:13:32 It was a bit difficult with the main stage on at the same time.
00:13:36 But that's a challenge that I've now overcome in the book.
00:13:39 So yeah, that's a tick off the list.
00:13:42 But yeah, no, it was really nice to play and yeah, it's a shame about the rain, but hopefully more people will come out.
00:13:49 I found it quite peaceful actually, especially listening to music.
00:13:52 Oh, that's good.
00:13:53 Very sporty atmosphere overall.
00:13:54 That is good.
00:13:55 Yeah, I hope you agree.
00:13:57 And just lastly, what does it mean to you guys to play a stage like this and for Kent Performers to play a local festival?
00:14:02 Well, it is really important for emerging artist stages and it's great to be able to have the opportunity as well
00:14:11 and to be approached as well because a lot of the time, starting out as a musician, you have to apply to things
00:14:16 and that can seem really overwhelming and it's great to have someone ask you if you want to do it.
00:14:21 Yeah.
00:14:22 What do you think, Arne?
00:14:23 Yeah, no, it's a really nice opportunity and it's a really lovely place to play as well.
00:14:28 Everything's excellent, people are really nice, you couldn't ask for better really.
00:14:32 But yeah, it's lovely, apart from the weather obviously, which we can't do much about.
00:14:38 But that's okay, people love muddy festivals in the rain.
00:14:41 But thank you very much for the chat and we'll see you guys right after.
00:14:45 [Music]
00:14:51 So the rain has held out and it's time for our next act today, who'll be doing a lovely acoustic performance.
00:14:57 Help me welcome to the stage, Shannon Turner.
00:15:00 [Music]
00:15:08 Boxes of clothes upon my floor, that T-shirt was back up on the wall
00:15:17 When I left here it was hand in hand with you
00:15:22 God laughs when we make plans like we do
00:15:32 Two years of never quite feeling cursed
00:15:37 Fighting to feel like I was hurt
00:15:42 You lied and you dragged me through the dirt
00:15:46 So I left you and you acted so damn hurt
00:15:51 Your apologies don't mean a thing
00:15:56 So I take that last one that you gave to me
00:16:01 And sing an S for the serenity
00:16:06 To know that I can't change everything
00:16:10 I sing an O 'cause I thought you were the one
00:16:15 Then I watched it all come undone
00:16:20 Two double Rs going round and round
00:16:24 And why did you let us down?
00:16:29 Tell me why did you let us down?
00:16:34 [Music]
00:16:39 You see, love, well it's not a caged thing
00:16:44 It's a bird that is flying not to sin
00:16:49 You loved me but only to yourself
00:16:54 Couldn't share me with anybody else
00:16:58 Your apologies don't mean a thing
00:17:03 So I take that last one that you gave to me
00:17:08 And sing an S for the serenity
00:17:13 To know that I can't change everything
00:17:17 I sing an O 'cause I thought you were the one
00:17:22 Then I watched it all come undone
00:17:27 Two double Rs going round and round
00:17:31 And why did you let us down?
00:17:36 Tell me why did you let us down?
00:17:40 [Music]
00:17:46 Your apologies don't mean a thing
00:17:51 So I take that last one that you gave to me
00:17:56 And sing an S for the serenity
00:18:01 To know that I can't change everything
00:18:05 I sing an O 'cause I thought you were the one
00:18:10 Then I watched it all come undone
00:18:15 Two double Rs going round and round
00:18:19 And why did you let us down?
00:18:24 Tell me why did you let us down?
00:18:30 [Music]
00:18:34 Thank you.
00:18:36 [Music]
00:18:52 His hands are like fire
00:18:57 Even when he burns
00:19:01 A thin piece of wire
00:19:06 Takes us to the ground
00:19:10 Electric in my pulse
00:19:15 Like petrol to a flame
00:19:20 I watch it all explode
00:19:25 And try and call his name
00:19:29 I grab and he grabs and we hang on
00:19:34 Don't know where we're going but it won't take long
00:19:40 You don't scare me
00:19:43 Do I scare you?
00:19:45 I'm sorry
00:19:47 It's all brand new
00:19:49 I feel much and much too hard
00:19:54 I'm trying to learn the art
00:20:01 Of loving you
00:20:05 Of loving you
00:20:09 Of loving you
00:20:14 The art of loving you
00:20:18 [Music]
00:20:23 A little bit of faith
00:20:27 And a whole lot of trust
00:20:32 Remember your mistakes
00:20:37 But not too much
00:20:41 The passion here is real
00:20:45 It's like none I've ever known
00:20:50 So take it when you can
00:20:54 You'll regret it if you don't
00:20:59 I think but he says I think too much
00:21:03 Oh please try and catch me 'cause I've done done
00:21:10 You don't scare me
00:21:13 Do I scare you?
00:21:15 I'm sorry
00:21:17 It's all brand new
00:21:19 I feel much and much too hard
00:21:24 I'm trying to learn the art
00:21:30 Of loving you
00:21:35 Of loving you
00:21:39 Of loving you
00:21:44 The art of loving you
00:21:48 [Music]
00:21:59 Walking this morning and I think of you
00:22:04 [Music]
00:22:08 The sea too sorrow, what are we doing?
00:22:14 Walking around not knowing which way to go
00:22:20 You think by now we've known
00:22:26 [Music]
00:22:32 Six years of nothing yet now here you stand
00:22:40 You haven't changed much but now you're a man
00:22:46 But you've made a life there, you've built a home
00:22:52 So what are you doing with me on your own?
00:23:01 There's a reason that the sun is shining here
00:23:11 When I look at you it's all so crystal clear
00:23:20 After all these years we haven't changed a bit
00:23:30 It's just a shame it has to end like this
00:23:42 And when you said you loved me you meant every word
00:23:51 There's no sweeter sentence that I've ever heard
00:23:57 But you cannot stay here you'll go back to home
00:24:03 So we say goodbye even though it hurts
00:24:12 There's a reason that the sun is shining here
00:24:22 When I look at you it's all so crystal clear
00:24:31 After all these years we haven't changed a bit
00:24:42 It's just a shame it has to end like this
00:24:56 And perhaps you just needed to see me once more
00:25:04 And did you ever find what you were looking for?
00:25:10 I hope that you think of me from time to time
00:25:16 'Cause once I was yours and once you were mine
00:25:24 Thank you!
00:25:30 Thank you very much for your amazing performance. I love your cowgirl boots.
00:25:33 Thank you very much.
00:25:34 I had a great time. And tell me just a bit about your music if you had to describe it very quickly.
00:25:38 If I had to sum up, just sort of pop country. Usually break up songs going from a lot of inspiration from Taylor Swift.
00:25:46 And yeah usually kind of all about love or addiction and yeah. That's it.
00:25:52 That's where your music comes from I guess feelings. So tell me how did you find the performance today?
00:25:57 A bit tricky. It's a bit hard to perform outside sometimes. Obviously there's other elements.
00:26:01 My fingers are very cold. I'm not the best guitarist anyway.
00:26:05 So it's just a bit hard to kind of make sure I was in tune and actually playing my songs correctly.
00:26:09 But that's the beauty of original music. 'Cause no one knows whether they're wrong or right.
00:26:13 So yeah. I enjoyed it.
00:26:15 And what does it mean to you to perform today on the stage?
00:26:17 Just a lot because I'm a big fan of KMTV and KMFM. I'm from Kent. I'm from Medway.
00:26:24 So I'm a big, big fan. It's nice to do something like that. You know the local organisation.
00:26:29 And to play original music is just a gift because everybody wants missing covers.
00:26:33 So it's really nice to be asked to do my own stuff. So yeah. A lot. Really happy to be here.
00:26:38 Well thank you very much. The next act is about to start. So that's all we have time for.
00:26:41 We'll be back right after this break.
00:26:43 Thank you very much.
00:26:44 Okay. So the rain has caught up with us. But it is time for our next act today.
00:26:58 They'll be bringing some hard rock to the stage with a bit of grunge.
00:27:03 Please welcome to the stage, Age of Aquarius.

00:37:20 Thank you very much guys for a very awesome performance.
00:37:24 So can you just tell everyone a bit about yourselves?
00:37:27 Yes, we are Age of Aquarius from Kent.
00:37:30 We're from Kent, aren't we?
00:37:31 No.
00:37:32 That's, no.
00:37:34 We are from Kent.
00:37:35 See, he said it.
00:37:36 And we play rock music.
00:37:38 And because we all like rock music.
00:37:40 Do you like rock music?
00:37:41 I love rock music.
00:37:42 He's got his own mic.
00:37:43 He's got his own mic.
00:37:44 So he can use that one.
00:37:45 So that's what we do.
00:37:46 We play rock music, we write songs, and we have a good time out in the rain.
00:37:51 Yes.
00:37:52 Lovely weather we're having today, isn't it?
00:37:54 Yes, I mean like credit to you guys for performing, but extra credit to the people who are staying in the rain
00:37:59 watching you guys perform.
00:38:00 We're very thankful for that.
00:38:01 We're very thankful for that.
00:38:02 How did you find performing on the stage?
00:38:04 Performing on stage was really nice.
00:38:07 As I said, it's a shame that the weather's like this.
00:38:10 It was a unique experience because we've never played in the rain before.
00:38:13 Yeah.
00:38:14 I think it worked quite well.
00:38:16 Age of Aquarius, water.
00:38:18 Water sign.
00:38:19 Sad person music.
00:38:20 This might be a sign for us.
00:38:21 The sky is calling.
00:38:22 This needed to happen.
00:38:23 Thanks, man.
00:38:24 Yes, maybe you perform better in water environments.
00:38:27 Maybe.
00:38:28 I think so.
00:38:29 I think it's our natural habitat.
00:38:30 Yeah, it's very dramatic.
00:38:31 We're definitely amphibian, aren't we?
00:38:32 Yes.
00:38:33 What did it mean to you guys to actually perform on stage?
00:38:35 Local band, local festival.
00:38:38 Great experience.
00:38:39 I've got an answer.
00:38:40 It meant the world to me because usually I'm not allowed to play anywhere, so it really
00:38:44 meant a lot.
00:38:45 Thank you, KMTV.
00:38:46 Yeah, nice.
00:38:48 That's great.
00:38:49 And you obviously have a great relationship with the band as well.
00:38:52 Oh, yeah.
00:38:53 Oh, no, I hate him.
00:38:54 I really can't stand him.
00:38:55 I really love him.
00:38:56 I'm sitting on him because he offered.
00:38:58 I'll let you guys write music about that.
00:39:00 Yeah.
00:39:01 We should write a song about that.
00:39:02 I'm going to write a song about how much I hate John.
00:39:03 I think I explain that to him every time I see him.
00:39:06 I don't need to write a song.
00:39:07 And on that note, we'll see you guys after the break for more music.
00:39:11 Bye-bye.
00:39:12 Bye.
00:39:13 What amazing acts we've had so far.
00:39:24 And there's more to come because our next act is Strange Ways, who will be giving you guys
00:39:28 a modern take on garage rock and pop punk.
00:39:31 Welcome them to the KMTV Priory Live stage.
00:39:35 Thank you all for standing out there.
00:39:38 We hope you enjoy this.
00:39:40 We are Strange Ways.
00:39:42 Same credits for the same old bar store.
00:40:01 Same credits for the same old bar store.
00:40:04 Same credits for the bar, the bar and store.
00:40:07 These are the bands that I know.
00:40:10 Falling into the bands that they'll know.
00:40:12 Because you're living fast, but now it's old.
00:40:15 You never let it sit, you never let it grow.
00:40:19 It keeps marching on.
00:40:22 Before I hit big birds, and I smoke wine.
00:40:28 Before I hit big birds, and I smoke wine.
00:40:33 And I'm Johnny Roger, the old folk dodger.
00:40:36 Kick the greens up the ass, city lovers with a quick win.
00:40:40 A steady hand, a bigger glass for you in Mississippi.
00:40:44 And I'm a show it to the city, I'm a millionaire.
00:40:47 Whoa.
00:40:49 It keeps marching on.
00:40:52 Before I hit big birds, and I smoke wine.
00:40:55 Before I hit big birds, and I smoke wine.
00:41:00 And I'm the quickster, the biker, the candle-sick maker.
00:41:03 The bitchy, the sparky, the goddamn maker.
00:41:06 All through the door, throw yourself at the parties.
00:41:09 You're just a gale, but then you're finally another.
00:41:12 So we do the same and no less.
00:41:14 Everybody goes around and you just say, "Hello."
00:41:21 You just say, "Hello."
00:41:26 You just say, "Hello."
00:41:31 I say, "Hello."
00:41:34 [music]
00:41:59 Oh, you're a real pleasure.
00:42:07 I never do it all by myself.
00:42:09 I can only observe, but this is the first time I've done it myself.
00:42:13 You're in such a mood to cry.
00:42:15 I'm the only good soul.
00:42:17 Bow, bow, bow, and scrape it.
00:42:21 I feel no debate.
00:42:22 You just bow and scrape it.
00:42:24 I feel no debate.
00:42:25 And you try, you chase it your way.
00:42:28 We're blind as all.
00:42:31 [music]
00:42:58 I'm doing all the dough like I said.
00:43:01 I cannot be sure, but this is the first time I've done it myself.
00:43:05 You're in such a mood to cry.
00:43:07 I'm the only good soul.
00:43:09 Bow, bow, bow, and scrape it.
00:43:12 I feel no debate.
00:43:14 You just bow and scrape it.
00:43:16 I feel no debate.
00:43:18 You try, you chase it your way.

01:22:25 For teaching me bravery
01:22:28 And the lessons that you gave to me
01:22:33 If only you were here right now
01:22:38 You're the reason why I am where I am today
01:22:44 And I'll do my best to keep you proud
01:22:50 It's so sad that you were the one who had to fly away
01:22:56 But I know you'll still be around
01:23:02 Well, if you were here right now, I'd say that I was thankful
01:23:07 If you were here right now, I'd say that I was thankful
01:23:14 If you were here right now, I'd tell you I was grateful
01:23:18 For all the things you brought to me
01:23:21 And all the words you said to me
01:23:25 If you were here right now, I'd say that I was thankful
01:23:31 For teaching me bravery
01:23:33 And the lessons that you gave to me
01:23:37 If only you were here right now
01:23:42 If only you were here right now
01:23:51 [piano solo]
01:24:07 Yes, I'm true
01:24:10 Being played by you
01:24:13 Paid my dues
01:24:15 You sat back and broke the rules
01:24:19 I stood by your side
01:24:21 But you turned around
01:24:24 Know what I've got to do
01:24:27 The curtain's coming down
01:24:30 'Cause I'm not hiding anymore
01:24:35 Pulling all the chains that are tying me to the floor
01:24:41 Break it free
01:24:44 Gotta be me
01:24:48 Lock it all out just to watch me crawl and fall
01:24:52 'Cause here I come
01:24:55 I can't help
01:25:00 Change a part
01:25:03 Lying on
01:25:05 The floor as it fell apart
01:25:08 It's my time to make the climb rise to the top
01:25:15 Breaking out through it, give it all I've got
01:25:19 'Cause I'm not hiding anymore
01:25:24 Pulling all the chains that are tying me to the floor
01:25:30 Break it free
01:25:32 Gotta be me
01:25:35 Lock it all out just to watch me crawl and fall
01:25:41 'Cause here I come
01:25:45 Here I come
01:25:50 You got yours, I'll get mine
01:25:54 'Cause I'll never be satisfied
01:25:57 Next time I won't be so blind
01:26:01 Say your words, ha, nice try
01:26:05 Things gonna happen, that's right
01:26:09 Don't remember the last time
01:26:11 That I cried
01:26:18 Anymore
01:26:21 Pulling all the chains that are tying me to the floor
01:26:26 Break it free
01:26:28 Gotta be me
01:26:31 Lock it all out just to watch me crawl and fall
01:26:37 Break it free
01:26:39 Gotta be me
01:26:42 Lock it all out just to watch me crawl and fall
01:26:48 'Cause here I come
01:26:54 So thank you guys for your country rock positivity up on the stage, the crowd loved it
01:27:00 Thank you so much for having us, thank you so much
01:27:04 Tell me just a bit about yourselves
01:27:06 So my name's Abbey Allfeeler, I'm a country music artist from Folkestone, Kent
01:27:11 So Kent born and raised, so I'm happy to be here
01:27:15 And yeah, so I basically started out with my brother on there, on over there
01:27:21 And my big sister, we started out as a trio and then we started going into more country music sound
01:27:26 And country rock started to come out and then we decided that it was best not to go as a band anymore
01:27:31 But I will always like try and continue the music industry, try and go for it
01:27:36 I'm the youngest so I have a bit more in me, you know
01:27:40 Yeah, so a bit more in me in that sort of sense
01:27:47 And I'm still with my brother here and my dad here, sorry dad
01:27:51 There's dad on the box there and with my best friend Finlay
01:27:55 So that's where I'm at today and that's a little bit about me
01:27:58 Yeah, I think you've got some close people with you on stage, it must be nice to perform with them
01:28:02 I feel like country music has resonated with the crowd today, they were loving it
01:28:05 Yeah, they were absolutely loving it, obviously like every festival you just don't know what to sort of expect
01:28:09 And you're thinking like country music, is it going to go down well?
01:28:14 And when you're at a country Americana music festival, you know that people are going to accept it, they're going to like it
01:28:19 And we're just hoping that, well I'm just hoping that country music is just more accepted
01:28:25 Which it is now in the UK I find, and I'm just happy that it's getting more and more accepted which is lovely
01:28:31 And I just absolutely had so much fun, I'm sweating
01:28:35 And the sun came out as well, so I'm not going to lie
01:28:37 Oh my god, it was like on cue, it was like a paid actor
01:28:42 And you can probably hear the bass of the next act getting ready, there's obviously quite an intense rock act coming up
01:28:46 So a different vibe, but how did you feel on stage?
01:28:49 Just very energised, it was great and the audience was lovely
01:28:54 My friend surprised me out of nowhere, she didn't tell me she got tickets
01:28:58 Which was really cute, so that was really lovely
01:29:02 And yeah, obviously just going with the audience is just lovely
01:29:06 And I just saw some people dancing along which is what I always wanted for our songs together
01:29:11 That's all I've ever really wanted is people to connect and dance along
01:29:17 So it was really cool, it felt good on stage didn't it?
01:29:22 Yeah it felt really good
01:29:24 And what does it mean to you guys to come to a local Kent festival as a Kent act?
01:29:28 Just so good, because Kent is where I'm born and raised so being here is just lovely
01:29:36 It's just one of those festivals I've been actually wanting to come on for a long time
01:29:41 So this is really quite cool to come on to KMTV, I don't know I was on KMTV and that was a special moment
01:29:46 So I absolutely love being here today
01:29:49 And Kent is just like home bound, so it's just lovely to spread the wings and fly to more Kent areas
01:29:56 I wonder if you all had fun?
01:29:59 Yeah absolutely, you all had fun
01:30:01 Dad?
01:30:03 Yeah it's always fun
01:30:05 It was really good, on the tamarine
01:30:07 Thank you very much for performing
01:30:11 Thank you so much
01:30:13 We'll see you guys after the break
01:30:15 Ok so now it's time for our final act today
01:30:27 Get ready for indie rock Brit pop band Ashley Stacey and The Morning Sun
01:30:34 Their first tune is called Up To My Eyes
01:30:37 Up To My Eyes
01:30:41 Up To My Eyes
01:30:46 Up To My Eyes
01:30:51 I tried for sharing and it's hard to do
01:30:55 Then you told me what it's all about
01:30:58 And you know that I've been meaning to
01:31:00 But I look to my eyes
01:31:02 And I can hear the blues
01:31:06 Let's steal a moment now and tell the world
01:31:12 I'm glad that I'm here with you
01:31:19 Who needs preparing when it's done it's done
01:31:22 We just stand till we're at the end
01:31:25 But the race ain't always won when you're up to your eyes
01:31:29 And you can hear the blues
01:31:33 Let's steal a moment now and tell the world
01:31:40 I'm glad that I'm here with you
01:31:43 Who needs preparing when it's done it's done
01:31:46 We just stand till we're at the end
01:31:49 But the race ain't always won when you're up to your eyes
01:31:53 And you can hear the blues
01:31:57 [Guitar Solo]
01:32:00 [Guitar Solo]
01:32:03 [Guitar Solo]
01:32:32 I tried for sharing, listen if you can
01:32:35 'Cause it is bound to put you down
01:32:38 And they only want to lend a hand when you're up to your eyes
01:32:42 Yeah, and you can hear the blues
01:32:46 Let's steal a moment now and tell the world
01:32:53 I'm glad that I'm here with you
01:32:59 Let's steal a moment now and tell the world
01:33:02 I'm glad that I'm here with you
01:33:05 So steal a moment now and tell the world
01:33:11 I'm glad that I'm here with you
01:33:28 Thank you!
01:33:29 Alright, this song is called "There's No Telling You"
01:33:32 You pay money 'round the houses
01:33:37 And they won't let you in
01:33:41 But if you're outside the jumping fences
01:33:45 I think it's time you begin
01:33:48 I saw you with the bus gone
01:33:52 Flicking your ash in the rain
01:33:57 You go around with your oyster car
01:33:59 And bet you're travelling alone again
01:34:03 You hit the ground running
01:34:07 But you went the wrong way
01:34:10 And you sprinted for a hundred yards
01:34:14 Before you slipped onto the floor in the rain
01:34:18 And you said, "I should take a nose medicine"
01:34:26 "Three times a day"
01:34:28 "Because it's just what the doctor ordered"
01:34:32 "And they go well with the cocaine"
01:34:36 Who are you to tell me
01:34:39 What I'm supposed to do
01:34:42 How can you give me advice
01:34:45 Since when your feet haven't been in the shoes
01:34:49 You hit the ground running
01:34:54 But you went the wrong way
01:34:56 And sprinted for a hundred yards
01:35:00 Before you twisted your ankle and it sprained, James
01:35:05 There's no telling you
01:35:11 There's no telling you
01:35:14 Yeah, there's no telling you
01:35:18 What you're supposed to do
01:35:21 'Cause there's no telling you
01:35:23 There's no telling you
01:35:26 There's no telling you
01:35:29 Yeah, there's no telling you
01:35:32 So what else can we do
01:35:35 When there's no telling you
01:35:38 I said you were stupid
01:35:42 When we met up in the park
01:35:45 Then you got all terribly abused
01:35:50 But your body never met your bar
01:35:53 And you still never listened
01:35:57 Where did that get you
01:36:00 Sitting on your arse in your mother's house
01:36:04 And standing in the tall pew
01:36:08 You hit the ground running
01:36:11 But you went the wrong way
01:36:14 And you sprinted for a hundred yards
01:36:19 Before you slipped onto the floor in the rain
01:36:22 There's no telling you
01:36:29 There's no telling you
01:36:32 Yeah, there's no telling you
01:36:36 What you're supposed to do
01:36:39 'Cause there's no telling you
01:36:43 There's no telling you
01:36:47 There's no telling you
01:36:49 Yeah, there's no telling you
01:36:52 So what else can we do
01:36:55 When there's no telling you
01:36:58 [instrumental]
01:37:16 You know you can't be certain
01:37:19 But you bet your life
01:37:25 They draw the curtain
01:37:28 To make you feel alive
01:37:32 And the birds are singing
01:37:36 But it don't sound right
01:37:40 And it was just beginning
01:37:45 To make your sky shine bright
01:37:51 And when the moment comes
01:37:55 You'll know
01:37:58 The sunlight
01:38:01 You gotta bring it in
01:38:04 The sunlight
01:38:09 You gotta bring it
01:38:12 We're bringing in the morning sun
01:38:16 [instrumental]
01:38:32 When the hours are fading
01:38:36 And your mind is tuned
01:38:40 There is no point explaining
01:38:44 But you still try to
01:38:47 The sky is falling
01:38:52 In front of you
01:38:56 But the night is calling
01:39:01 Like they often do
01:39:05 And when the moment comes
01:39:10 You'll know
01:39:13 The sunlight
01:39:15 You gotta bring it in
01:39:18 The sunlight
01:39:22 You gotta bring it in
01:39:25 The sunlight
01:39:29 We're bringing in
01:39:32 The sunlight
01:39:36 You gotta bring it in
01:39:40 The sunlight
01:39:43 You gotta bring it
01:39:45 Bring it in
01:39:48 And you better save it
01:39:52 After all that you've been through
01:39:56 You know there's no escaping
01:40:00 Don't ever let them steal
01:40:03 Your morning sun
01:40:08 The morning sun
01:40:10 The morning sun
01:40:14 The morning sun
01:40:18 The morning sun
01:40:26 The morning sun
01:40:36 The morning sun
01:40:38 [instrumental]
01:41:04 Thank you guys for your performance
01:41:06 The final act of the Cayman TV stage
01:41:08 How do you guys feel having been on it?
01:41:10 Yeah, really good, thank you
01:41:12 Yeah, it was good fun, very good fun
01:41:14 Yeah, and how did the crowd feel?
01:41:16 You think it's quite a nice day so far?
01:41:18 Wet, yeah, a little bit moist
01:41:20 The sun came out for us
01:41:22 The sun came out for you
01:41:24 It came out for the morning sun
01:41:26 It was raining pretty bad
01:41:28 And then all of a sudden there was sun
01:41:30 There was dancing, there was people
01:41:32 It was very good, a couple of beers in people's hands
01:41:34 Yeah, thanks for being the microphone person by the way
01:41:36 You can talk as well
01:41:38 He's got a beautiful voice
01:41:40 Can you just tell me a bit about yourselves as an act?
01:41:45 Yeah, well we're obviously Ashley Stacey and the Morning Sun
01:41:49 We're Britpop, I would say
01:41:51 Would you say that? Britpop
01:41:53 That's why I introduced you guys
01:41:55 Yeah, we've made that right
01:41:57 But yeah, we've been playing together for a couple of years
01:42:00 We've not played that many festivals
01:42:02 So it was an absolute honour playing here, we loved it
01:42:05 We've just had an EP out as well
01:42:07 So we've played quite a few new tunes off of that
01:42:10 Which was fun, one of them we've never played live before
01:42:13 And yeah, we're buzzing, it was brilliant
01:42:15 Yeah, and what does it mean to you to be at a local Kent festival as a Kent act?
01:42:19 Oh, I love Kent
01:42:21 I'm from Lewisham
01:42:23 Were you from Kent originally?
01:42:25 Lewisham and then Kent, so I moved around
01:42:28 I'm the only one from Kent
01:42:30 I went to college down the road though, back in the day
01:42:32 Yeah, me and Tom went to school together in Welland, that's Kent
01:42:36 You go to a pub for a breakfast and you get given cider
01:42:40 So I'm pretty happy with Kent
01:42:43 That sounds like a Kent thing, yeah
01:42:45 This man loves cider
01:42:47 And you're the final act, the final interview
01:42:49 What's your final message to everyone who's watching?
01:42:51 Stay safe
01:42:53 Look after yourselves guys
01:42:55 Drink responsibly
