00:00 The grand jury will soon hear the evidence prosecutors have been gathering against Donald
00:03 Trump with regards to his attempt to change the outcome of Georgia's 2020 presidential
00:08 election.
00:09 Now, CNN reports, prosecutors involved in that case have reportedly discovered evidence
00:14 that a voting machine breach was part of a ploy by Trump's legal team, all part of what
00:18 they call a top-down push to illegally change the election results in the state.
00:23 Lead investigator Fannie Willis will likely soon announce yet another indictment against
00:27 the former president, as well as others against at least a dozen of his allies.
00:31 The new evidence is based on a series of text messages between local Georgia election officials
00:36 who were involved in the 2022 voting system breach in the state.
00:40 That breach included video evidence of a private forensics team, which was hired by Trump's
00:44 lawyer Sidney Powell, who were seen copying data and handling voting machines on January
00:50 7, 2021.
00:51 Those voting machines were then replaced after the video surfaced.
00:55 That election official, who was identified as Misty Hampton, sent a text message with
00:59 a written invitation to Trump's legal team to have access to the voting machines just
01:03 six days ahead of the breach.
01:04 The text messages also mentioned Rudy Giuliani several times, calling him "the mayor," despite
01:10 his lawyer explicitly saying previously that he wasn't involved.
01:14 Hampton was one of the individuals who was apparently spreading Dominion voting system
01:17 conspiracies according to the report, eventually gaining the attention of Trump's team.
01:22 He was also the top election official in the only county which failed to validate recount
01:26 results by the deadline, and the only one that failed to certify the 2020 presidential
01:31 election.
