00:00 The wildfire that killed 76 people is considered the most dangerous natural disaster in Hawaii.
00:07 More than 100 Filipinos have not been contacted yet.
00:11 This is what Rafi Tima is talking about.
00:14 This is a scene of a Filipino in the town of Lahaina.
00:20 You can see the strong wind as the flames are burning and rising in the whole town.
00:25 This is what Milalat got from their house before they ran away.
00:29 It was quite far away and then it came quickly right away.
00:32 They saw it high in the mountains and then they had a conversation and then when they looked back at the fire, it was just yards away.
00:43 In other videos, you can see the residents running away from the flames that are slowly spreading throughout Lahaina.
00:49 Brother, just leave it there.
00:51 Oh my God.
00:57 In the heat of the storm, the sun was already out and it was already dark in the area.
01:01 And because the strong wind did not stop, the flames continued to spread.
01:05 Brother and sister Charles are safe and they are living with their cousin in Maui.
01:11 But many are still looking for them, including many Filipinos who have a large population in Lahaina.
01:16 A lot of Filipinos were very much affected and a lot of them are still missing.
01:21 Would it be safe to visit a hundred, more than a hundred?
01:26 I would say yes.
01:28 The director of the Maui Filipino Chamber of Commerce confirmed that more than 100 Filipinos have not been contacted yet.
01:35 According to the DFA, they are still waiting for confirmation from the authorities if there are such missing people.
01:42 But almost all of the Filipinos living in Maui are already U.S. citizens.
01:46 We are in touch with our community and we have full trust and confidence that the Hawaii Emergency Management Agency can handle this.
01:54 The U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency can also respond to the pleas for assistance of the people in the area of what they call a fire hurricane.
02:06 According to official data, 66 people have already been killed in the fire.
02:10 This is also considered the most dangerous natural disaster on the island of Hawaii.
02:14 It is even more severe than a tsunami in 1960 that killed 61 people.
02:19 Seven days after the fire started, the firefighters continued to burn in the red in the remaining fire that could be extinguished again.
02:27 For GMA Integrated News, Rafi Tima reporting for 24 Hours.
