Two women have been injured after a car crashed into a bus stop at Drummoyne, in Sydney's Inner-West this morning.

00:00 During peak hour this morning a woman waiting at this bus shelter was hit by a car after
00:06 a bus and a car are believed to have collided into one another.
00:10 Authorities believe that the car had mounted the gutter behind me leaving tire marks before
00:15 shattering the glass here at the bus stop and hitting and injuring the woman.
00:19 Emergency services arrived at the scene just before 8 to treat two women for injuries.
00:24 Emergency crews had to work to free one of the women from the car before the two women
00:29 were treated for serious injuries.
00:31 A woman believed to be aged in her 40s was treated for serious neck injuries and transported
00:36 to RPA hospital where she would receive further treatment while a woman in her 20s was treated
00:41 for head and arm injuries at the scene.
00:43 15 people were believed to be on the bus at the time and had since escaped injury.
00:47 Speaking with Fire and Rescue NSW a short time ago they detailed just how rare it is
00:51 for them to receive numerous phone calls for a bus stop incident.

01:11 having to cut that car away to get the driver out as well but were suffering some pretty
01:16 serious injuries.
01:17 Two city bound lanes here in the intersection of Victoria Road and Westbourne Street at
01:23 Dremoine were closed after the accident but have since reopened.
01:27 Buses are continuing to run after maintenance crews spent the morning cleaning up shattered
01:31 glass and taking photos of further evidence after this crash.
