00:03 >> AT, how did you feel from a conference standpoint,
00:06 being targeted six times against six games?
00:09 >> I felt good.
00:11 Just after making my first step, I was like, I'm a dream.
00:14 So just throughout the game, I just told myself to focus on the ball.
00:18 That's my job in professional football.
00:21 >> AT, can you run us through the touchdown catch?
00:24 >> So it was man to man, very close.
00:28 I seen the corner follow me from the other side of the field.
00:31 Once I got to see where the safety was, I just crossed the safety space and
00:35 it was finally wide open.
00:37 >> How good was that throw?
00:38 >> It was a great throw, honestly.
00:40 I seen a defender in the air and I just seen the ball go right over me with my
00:44 hands.
00:45 It was a great throw by Jamis.
00:48 >> AT, I think earlier in camp we saw you working without gloves for a few days.
00:51 Was that intentional?
00:51 Was there something to that?
00:52 >> Yeah, just to get the feeling of the ball.
00:55 I just wanna catch the ball in my hands and then just having the gloves on is just
00:59 extra support.
01:00 So just gripping the ball, able to feel the ball in my hands,
01:03 I get a good feel how to catch it.
01:05 So, is it a big- >> Is it a big-
01:08 >> Sorry, I'm sorry.
01:10 >> That big moment, it's the debut game and
01:12 who gets in a competition.
01:14 I'm sure you go in wondering, well, how's this gonna go?
01:17 >> Yeah. >> What did you learn that you think is
01:19 important to carry forward from that first experience?
01:22 >> Just really staying focused in the game.
01:24 You got a big crowd, you know what I'm saying?
01:27 Being a rookie, being in the first NFL game, you got that adrenaline going,
01:31 stuff like that.
01:32 But I just told myself to calm down, just take one play at a time,
01:35 making sure I'm doing my job, aligning the assignment, and
01:37 just catching the football, most importantly.
01:39 >> The PA said he didn't want you catching the football out, but to score.
01:44 So what do you call on that?
01:46 >> I'm gonna just listen to coach.
01:48 He said don't reach the ball out, so I just know next time not to reach the ball
01:51 out.
01:52 I mean, I guess it was just natural instinct.
01:54 I did a lot in college, so.
01:55 >> Is it a big adjustment moving to an indoor stadium as a receiver,
02:01 getting used to the lights and everything?
02:03 >> I wouldn't say there's a big difference.
02:08 They are bright, they were bright when I walked in there.
02:10 That's why I was lucky I didn't have my visor on.
02:12 But that's not a big difference, just focus on the ball, talking to the QB,
02:17 where the ball's gonna be in the air, and stuff like that.
02:20 Just readjusting during warm-ups and stuff.
02:23 >> AT, do you feel like it's a little bit of a learning curve coming in as a rookie,
02:28 and where you feel on that process?
02:31 >> I just feel like I still have more to learn.
02:33 You know what I'm saying?
02:34 The job for me is not finished.
02:35 I just keep telling myself don't be complacent.
02:38 You have a good game, obviously, debut, but you have many more games to go.
02:42 So I just tell myself just approach each day the same.
02:45 Don't be complacent, just go out and do your job, have fun.
02:48 >> AT, how much are you looking forward to going against different competitions?
02:52 Obviously, you guys are the same DBs, now OTAs, many times, training camp.
02:56 But you go against a different group, obviously, on Sunday, but
02:59 also in practice, during the week.
03:01 >> Man, listen, I watch countless YouTube videos, all the stuff like that.
03:06 Just different guys I'll be going against, looking at leverage, techniques,
03:10 stuff like that.
03:12 These guys, these DBs right here, every day, they get me better,
03:14 and they make things better as well.
03:16 So just keeping that going throughout the season, and get those matchups,
03:20 study films, stuff like that, and just go out and ball.
03:23 >> AT, what kind of player is that, if Notre Dame game, Sam Harden?
03:26 >> Well, he can be a dog, a straight dog.
03:30 That's probably one of the most hardworking people that I've been around.
03:34 Sam is just tunnel vision, you know what I'm saying?
03:37 Whatever the goal is, that's his goal.
03:39 He's gonna make sure everybody's on the same page.
03:42 But I feel like he's in a great spot, you know what I'm saying?
03:45 He's out there, he's having fun.
03:48 He's having that leader role with all the rest of the guys, so I'm happy for him.
03:53 Can't wait to see him here one day.
03:55 >> AT, beyond the touchdown, the catch,
03:57 you did a really good job kind of navigating out of structure,
04:00 kind of moving around, all the quarterbacks moving around.
04:02 Is that something that they put a focus on here, or
04:04 was that something you came into the league with?
04:06 >> I'd probably say I came into the league, their system and everything.
04:11 It really taught me a lot.
04:13 So when I got here, it wasn't too hard to readjust, so thank them for all of that.
04:19 Just the offensive side of the ball, just running the routes,
04:23 stuff like that, reading coverages, reading the defense and stuff like that.
04:27 Just second nature when I come here.
04:31 >> Get much reaction from family, friends?
04:33 >> A lot, a whole lot.
04:36 It was countless people calling and stuff like that after the game, but
04:39 it's all love, you know what I'm saying?
04:41 Just go out and make sure I put on a show and have fun as well.
04:45 >> Did you know you were gonna get that big of a workload?
04:49 I mean, they said you were gonna be future player here.
04:52 Did you know that going in?
04:54 >> No, not really.
04:55 But I just kept myself prepared, whatever happens,
04:58 and just going in and make sure I do my best and give my all.
05:03 So I went out there just to make sure I was consistent and just make a play.
05:07 >> Did you come to ball or did you save an effort?
05:09 >> No, I'm a save.
05:10 >> I was waiting for it.
05:11 >> Oh, no, I didn't keep it.
05:13 >> Yeah, yeah, yeah.
05:16 >> Not everyone on the field, but Jake and Ellis and those guys leading that drive.
05:20 >> They were doing a great job.
05:22 I just told Jake, he's going out there just to show the offense.
05:25 Just calm down, read the defense, just make some plays, you know what I'm saying?
05:29 Just have fun.
05:30 Ellis, he's doing well the whole camp.
05:34 For him to be undrafted, signed, he's a great leader in the hood.
05:41 He just makes sure everybody's in the right spot, make sure everybody knows what
05:45 they're doing.
05:47 He's always there to pick guys up.
05:50 You know what I'm saying?
05:50 After a drop ball, a fumble ball, he'll say, hey, next play.
05:53 So I'm proud of those guys.
05:54 They had a great game.
05:56 Looking to do it again this week.
05:58 >> I think Ellis and Jake had mentioned some of the work he's doing,
06:01 face timing back and forth.
06:02 Is this something you've participated in?
06:03 >> Yeah, yeah, yeah.
06:05 Just going over the plays and stuff like that,
06:07 making sure they were all on the same page.
06:08 And when you're walking on the field, it's like, hey, Jake, I see this.
06:11 I seen it too.
06:11 I'm just gonna go out next drive and get it done.
06:14 >> Yeah.
06:14 >> Guys, we've got Marshawn up.
