00:00 The footage captured on the police patrol car camera shows a group of 15 illegal dirt
00:07 bike riders swarming Williams Landing.
00:10 They can be seen taking over the streets and showing little regard for other road users.
00:16 At one point, one of the riders is arrested, but that doesn't stop the others in the group
00:20 from acting up.
00:21 They can be seen using their wheels to spray police and their police car with dirt and
00:26 rocks.
00:27 Police say the incident on July 29, it's lucky that it didn't end in tragedy.
00:32 Take a listen.
00:33 "Really confronting behaviour, really dangerous and not just for the police that were responding
00:38 but also other road users in the area and people who were moving about on the footpaths.
00:43 It really could have been quite a tragic outcome."
00:45 Now in a bid to stop future bad rider behaviour, police have received two new off-road police
00:51 motorbikes from Wyndham City Council and they say they'll use this to patrol the local bike
00:56 paths, streets and parklands.
