00:00 I've got a lovely Fordson Dexter that I decided to paint pink, all for a great cause for Dementia UK.
00:06 I used to work in a care home so I worked with Advanced Dementia End of Life.
00:11 I lost my grandad to dementia and recently my nan.
00:16 So it kind of vibed with you all more to try and fundraise a lot more money and hopefully we can smash five grand.
00:22 Hopefully we can keep fundraising and raise more awareness and help families.
00:26 It goes to all different country shows so next weekend we're at Elsbarton.
00:30 So my tractor, we have all the banners out the front and we have charity pots.
00:34 No wonder people come over, pop money in and then we also do the road runs where we fundraise every tractor that goes,
00:41 pay a donation for charity and we collect it that way as well.
00:45 We've also got a charity auction that we do in September so lots of companies donate loads of goodies
00:50 and we have a live auction on Facebook on my Fordson page.
00:54 So we raise a lot of money doing all that as well.
00:57 I love it because it is mainly the women that do all the pink tractors, it's really good.
01:01 Hopefully Kettering Rally, there's going to be four or five of us with pink ones so we'll have a nice charity run.
01:07 I've always had a soft spot for, everyone loves your grandparents and you just want to be able to help them.
01:14 I just thought I'd love to give back to families that need that help.
01:18 So I thought instantly I want to work with dementia, especially my grandparents.
01:21 I literally just fell in love with the job.
01:24 Families shouldn't have to go through it, especially when they've been through the war, they've done all sorts.
01:28 It's affecting even younger people now.
01:31 I just wanted to raise awareness that there are people you can talk to.
01:35 Dementia UK are fantastic, it doesn't have to be the person themselves, it can be any family member.
01:41 They can pick up the phone, they can get help for what care homes are really good, just advice.
01:45 What do I do, mum's doing this or my dad's doing this.
01:48 They're there to help you, so it's not just for one person, they cover the whole family.
01:52 The Admiral Nurses work so hard and I just thought, just keep fundraising and hopefully one day,
01:58 we might not be able to get rid of it but we can slow it down.
