01:33 The Celestial River lands as the Jade Dragon's haunt in the Realms of Chaos campaign,
01:38 and in Immortal Empires, he starts in the Amyra Swamps,

01:43 In both campaigns, he'll begin by ridding the realm of orcs.

01:56 As a prominent leader of Grand Cadet, Yuanbo is concerned with matters of state
02:01 and can affect instant change in his armies and settlements.
02:04 But a good leader looks outward too,
02:06 and trade deals with the Jade Dragon will reveal all regions owned by the trading faction.
02:11 Beyond day-to-day politics, Yuanbo looks to the Wuxian Compass and,
02:15 under his father's direction, plots to unlock its true potential.
02:19 Using steel and stone tokens, Yuanbo can enact various army, hero,
02:25 and settlement actions across the campaign map.
02:28 These range from instantly completing a turn of ongoing recruitment,
02:31 to restoring campaign movement, to resetting diplomatic relations, and many more.
02:36 Tokens cannot be destroyed, only transferred.
02:40 For example, spent stone tokens undergo a five-turn cooldown period
02:44 before being returned as steel tokens.
02:46 Winning battles reduces the cooldown by one turn.
02:49 Additional tokens are earned by declaring fortress cities or commercial districts.
02:54 Here, Yuanbo is heading for the Tower of Ashir, but Shang Yang stands in his way.
02:59 The AI is recruiting, so will send our hero to damage their recruitment buildings.
03:03 Employing structured operation here guarantees a successful hero action
03:07 and sets us up for an easier attack.

03:13 Yuanbo cannot abide dissenters.
03:16 The Executioner will spill Cathayan blood if needed.

03:30 With two charges and significant damage, this spell is as devastating as it is finite.
03:38 The Emperor's Executioner isn't merely Yuanbo's title.
03:41 Twice per battle, he can summon a Jade Sword to strike down enemy heroes and lords.
03:47 With access to multiple lores, including Yin, Yang, Light, and Heaven,
03:54 Yuanbo is a savage fighter, both as a human or a dragon, at range or up close.

04:04 Later, we've recouped our spent Steel Tokens as Stone Tokens
04:11 and can perform the Commercial District action.
04:14 This converts the Tier 3 Province Capital into a Commercial District,
04:18 which gains improved effects from settlement buildings and all infrastructure and resource buildings.
04:22 What's more, we've now gained additional tokens added to our pool.
04:26 As part of Yuanbo's faction mechanics, he reveals the region owned by trade partners,
04:30 allowing for more forward planning.
04:32 This further reveals neighboring factions who can also be traded with,
04:35 which, in some cases, creates cascading trade deals.
04:39 Coupled with the Ivory Road, which itself reveals further factions to trade with,
04:51 the Jade Dragon soon has an unparalleled lay of the land.
04:55 Agreeing to join distant wars, which you're unlikely to ever participate in,
05:00 to cinch a coveted trade deal with the Ice Queen is a diplomatic no-brainer.
05:04 Under secret orders from the Dragon Emperor, Yuanbo has been tasked with undertaking
05:12 a portion of a grander plan centuries in the making.
05:16 He must seek out locations where the winds of magic gather
05:19 and build astromantic relays to extend the reach and power of the Jade Compass.
05:25 There are four locations Yuanbo must gain control of, either through diplomacy or force,
05:29 and these change depending on your campaign type.
05:32 In Immortal Empires, you'll be assaulting Lizardmen major settlements.
05:35 In the Realms of Chaos, the locations are
05:38 the Tower of Asher,
05:40 Weijin,
05:44 Azj'Qilak,
05:53 and Dragonfang Mount.
05:55 Once captured, he must gather his strength whilst the relays are constructed
06:01 and survive an onslaught of Lizardmen warriors,
06:04 for Yuanbo's actions work against the Old One's will.
06:07 Each new direction on the Compass offers powerful boons.
06:22 Nongjiang Basin provides additional growth based on your Cathayan-owned provinces,
06:26 as well as boons to buildings when activated.
06:29 Asher awards additional winds of magic power reserves for each Cathayan-owned army,
06:34 but has no active effect.
06:36 Dragon River grants character immortality and reduces attrition casualties,
06:41 but has no reserve effect.
06:43 And Broken Lands increases the recruitment rank for each Cathayan-owned region
06:47 and buffs unit and character experience when active.
06:51 Once each direction has been unlocked and held against an onslaught of Lizardmen,
06:55 the Jade Dragon must face one final incursion.
06:58 Lord Mazda Mundi confronts Grand Cathay's perversion of the Great Clan himself.
07:03 It is here that Yuanbo must prove he is worthy of his father's trust.
07:10 As leader of the Jade Court, Yuanbo has access to the Great Clan's headquarters,
07:19 and the best soldiers, constructs and artillery Grand Cathay can offer,
07:24 as well as new additions to the Cathayan roster arriving in Shadows of Change.
07:28 The Onyx Cromen are more than Celestial Court spies.
07:37 Their wicked beaks, terrifying speed and impressive numbers
07:40 make them the perfect choice to harass enemy backlines or run down routers.
07:47 Only the most powerful warriors of Grand Cathay's army rise to the rank of Grand General of the Celestial Host.
07:53 Gifted and skilled fighters, these dragon-blooded generals are outfitted from the armories of Wei Jin
07:59 and lead their men from the frontlines.
08:01 Jade and Jet Lions, deadly slabs of card rock wreak havoc in melee
08:14 that are valued in Cathay for their magical properties.
08:17 Jet Lions will dampen the effects of magic,
08:20 whilst their Jade counterparts will boost sorcery and spellcasting.
08:23 In the traditions of Grand Cathay, a great war drum hangs above the gates of every city,
08:32 but when danger calls from afar, the drum is carried to war to drive the beat of battle into the dragon's loyal soldiers.
08:39 From that rhythm, Cathay finds its power and its victory.
08:44 Answering the drum's beat is three additional Cathayan regiments of renown,
08:48 the Grace of Khoi Yin, Empress Cromann and the Jade War Drum.
