In North Korea, the law says that if you do something wrong, not only you but also your children and grandchildren will be punished. This often means they will have to spend their whole lives in prison. Even if babies are born in prison, they are treated like prisoners because their family is considered guilty.
In China, there is a Chinese practice of hiring impostors or body doubles to stand trial and receive punishment in one's place. The term translates as ""substitute criminal,"" and is reported to be a relatively common practice among China's wealthy elite
In India, the legal system operates differently from these countries. We have a structured process in place. Investigative agencies gather evidence, and the case is presented in court, leading to a trial. But until you are proven guilty, you are still considered innocent. If you can't afford a lawyer, the government will provide you one, and the money comes from the taxes paid by citizens. We follow a proper process for this. However, some state governments in India are doing something else now. If they suspect someone of being involved in a crime, they use bulldozers to destroy their house. Sadly, most of the people whose houses are destroyed are Muslims. So my question is are we going forward or going back to the draconian area, you decide.
