00:02 - Drifting is one of the oldest ways
00:08 of saving money in Nigeria.
00:10 Bankly updated and created a technology solution
00:13 by digitizing Azure in local market,
00:16 hereby promoting financial inclusion
00:18 and empowering the unbacked population.
00:20 Launched in 2019, Bankly has gone on to create
00:23 a wide range of financial solutions.
00:26 Today, they will be onboarding new influencers,
00:28 new agents, and also educating their agents' network.

00:33 - It's transparent.
00:36 I'm not afraid that whoever is coordinating it
00:39 will run away with the money or it will disappear.
00:42 Every time I contribute,
00:43 every other person in the group gets an alert.
00:47 So it's very transparent, it's very smooth,
00:49 it's very seamless, and really that's what it's about
00:53 at Bankly, it's just thinking about everyday people
00:57 and what they have to do in their day-to-day life
00:59 and how we can cater that and make it problem-free.
01:02 - A lot of our features are personalized
01:04 and customized to our users' needs.
01:07 - People always need a platform
01:08 where they can save money, invest,
01:11 and give them seamless financial,
01:14 basically seamless ways to transact.
01:17 - So it's 2023 and it only makes a lot of sense
01:19 that we have a platform like Bankly,
01:20 which says we're taking away all that risk
01:23 and all that stress and mental hassle,
01:24 and it will make the Trif system, aka Agile,
01:27 to be a very easy system for you to use.
01:30 Do great.
01:31 So that's, okay, there's a platform like this,
01:32 let me come on to pass the payside,
01:34 and that's why I'm here.
01:35 (upbeat music)
01:37 - It's quite simple.
01:38 The concept we've built is to start to follow the experience,
01:40 what we expect the user to be
01:42 and what we expect the user to do,
01:44 and we'll build a system that works around that
01:46 to make it quite easy for the user
01:47 to just walk through and do,
01:49 cut whatever he needs to do, transactions or whatever,
01:52 in the easiest possible form that he can have.
01:54 - This event is probably three, four,
01:56 five months in the making.
01:58 There's been a lot of iterations on this event,
02:02 on the app, and we're finally in the best place
02:04 to show the world really what the app can do.
02:07 It's a breath of fresh air to know that Bankly
02:09 has innovated on that existing ideology
02:13 and transformed it into something very easy to use,
02:16 safe and transparent.
02:17 - Oh, it's so beautiful to see that, you know,
02:19 most of the things are now digitalized
02:21 and, you know, it's just so humbling
02:23 to be a part of this process.
02:24 - I love the group saving part, you know,
02:26 before now it's about payment and all of that,
02:28 but now it's supporting something I preach, savings,
02:31 and who knows, someday the investment bank
02:33 can come on board, and because for the first time
02:35 I'm even getting interest on my savings, it's amazing.
02:38 And then I have a community of interest.
02:40 I've already seen ways you can save together on the app,
02:43 so I'm so excited about this.
02:44 (upbeat music)
02:47 - It's an innovative brand
02:50 and they have a lot of creative ideas,
02:51 and as a creative, that is something I like to see,
02:54 you know, in other spheres of life.
02:55 So I'm excited to be here.
02:57 - It's not that pretentious,
02:58 and I think it's been a journey,
03:00 and I'm happy to be able to show the world
03:03 what we've been working on, and that's amazing.
03:05 - After four years in business,
03:06 Bankly has proven to be a credible financial institution,
03:09 focusing on convenience, financial literacy,
03:12 and bridging the gap between marginalized communities
03:15 and formal financial institutions.
03:17 You know what they say,
03:18 save money so money can save you.
03:20 As Nigerians, we already go through so much,
03:23 and having seamless transactions shouldn't be one of them.
03:26 My name is Loy Sokuni for Guardian TV.
03:28 Bye for now.
