00:00 >> How's my hair look?
00:01 >> Phenomenal, it's flowing, man.
00:05 >> How are you guys doing?
00:06 >> Good.
00:08 >> So I was gonna ask you guys, a couple weeks into camp, just kind of how's it
00:11 going for you?
00:11 I mean, I guess what's the biggest thing for you after getting to playing time last
00:15 year and coming in and kind of knowing what to expect?
00:17 >> I mean, it's going well.
00:19 I think we're working really hard.
00:20 I think as a group, we're really, really connected.
00:23 And as a team, we're really connected.
00:25 And after playing from last year, I think I learned some things and
00:29 I'm still learning and growing each and every day.
00:33 >> What's been the process like for you guys getting so many new guys acclimated
00:36 to the linebacker room and making sure that they're ready to go come week one?
00:40 >> Just getting connected.
00:41 I mean, all of it's football, but I mean, out of football, we hang out.
00:48 We do stuff together and we watch film together.
00:50 It's just really just getting connected each and every day.
00:54 >> Talk about learning things, are there one or two things you could point to from
00:57 like the back end of last year when you started getting more game action that you
01:01 think really helped you?
01:01 >> Yeah, I think a big thing is just watching film more.
01:06 I think I'm doing a better job of that this year.
01:10 And then just me being more aggressive and finding ways to, I don't know,
01:16 improve each and every day by, I don't know, seeing what the offense is doing.
01:20 >> Lesher, you kind of bounce back and forth between Mike and
01:25 Stinger a little bit, so are you kind of more settled in one position this year?
01:28 Are you still gonna be kind of that guy who can play both spots?
01:31 >> I don't know, we'll see.
01:31 I'll do anything to help the team.
01:33 I'm playing Stinger right now, but I know I can jump in and play Mike if I need to.
01:36 >> What's it been working like with some of the new guys like Jacob and
01:43 Josh, some of the transfers coming in?
01:44 >> Jacob and Josh are awesome.
01:46 Jacob came in, was a leader right away, he's very vocal.
01:49 Josh is great also.
01:52 He's a big body.
01:53 He plays aggressive, plays downhill.
01:55 And I just kind of watch that and follow in their footsteps.
01:59 >> How important is it for you guys that guys like Jacob come in as transfers, but
02:03 they don't just fade to the back and just add a team,
02:05 they step up as leaders right away?
02:07 >> Yeah, it's awesome.
02:07 I like it.
02:08 I think it's a great add on.
02:10 And I don't know, Jacob's just really, really vocal each and every day.
02:14 And I think people are starting to pick up on that and
02:18 people are starting to follow.
02:20 >> What's that gonna show for someone who's new like that to be able to come in
02:23 and kind of take a leadership role in the room?
02:25 >> Yeah, I mean, it shows a lot of the new guys that, I mean, you can do that.
02:28 You don't have to sit back and wait for to get your chance to be a leader.
02:33 You can come right in and just buy in.
02:35 If you buy in, you can be a leader.
02:36 >> Is there been anything that maybe Coach Wilt or Coach Allen has challenged you to
02:41 do, I guess, throughout the off season to try to improve for the year?
02:44 >> Yeah, a lot of things.
02:45 Just more fundamentals.
02:48 I gotta keep my body in shape.
02:50 So I can last the whole season.
02:52 I know I got banged up at the end of the season.
02:54 That was one of them.
02:55 And then just working on technique each and every day in the summer, so yeah.
02:59 >> Coach, he's obviously calling plays this year for you guys.
03:03 You've only had one scrimmage, but have you noticed any differences or
03:07 communication differences, I guess, in the way plays are being communicated and
03:10 schemes?
03:10 >> Not much of a difference.
03:14 I'd say he's very, holds the team very accountable.
03:18 He pushes us each and every day.
03:19 He's very loud and confident in what he's doing.
03:25 And I think people are buying into that.
