Extreme weather: Tenerife firefighters hope to have the island's wildfires under control

Hundreds of firefighters have been responding to the blaze on the Spanish holiday island of Tenerife as extreme weather brings a 40-degree heatwave to Switzerland

00:27 Meanwhile on Tenerife and the Canary Islands, the fire is spreading more slowly. It`s estimated
00:33 3,800 hectares of forest has burned in wildfires on the island. 220 firefighters have been
00:39 working to contain its spread.
00:44 Improved weather conditions raised hopes that the flames could soon come under control.
00:49 According to the head of the Canary Islands government, Fernando Clavillo, the fire is
