Luisa González: Ecuador needs a government that work for the people and not only for making money
In Ecuador, vote counting is underway in Sunday’s early general elections, authorities registered an 82% turnout. The candidate for the Citizen Revolution, Luisa González offers statements after obtain more than 33% of the votes counted. teleSUR

01:37 is a businessman, a person who knew how to handle his business.
01:44 But he didn't know what the Puerto Ricans need.
01:49 He doesn't know what needs the father, mother, or student that
01:52 goes to the hospital.
01:53 He doesn't know what needs a young person that
02:00 needs education, that needs health care.
02:11 He doesn't know what needs a father which
02:15 belongs to any sector of the middle class.
02:17 He only knows how to make money.
02:21 He doesn't know how to address the problems of the population.
02:25 He never knew how to rule in favor
02:36 or taking into account the situation of the country
02:38 and the people who live in it.

02:45 We can't go back to the situation.
02:47 Otherwise, we will have the same situation
02:49 we had that we have a president who doesn't know
02:52 how to take care of his people.
02:55 We need a government which is with the people,
02:58 working with the people who knows the needs
03:01 and the concerns of the people.
03:06 That's what Ecuador needs.

03:28 doesn't have the privilege that the upper class has.

03:42 but does not provide the security that the people need.

03:53 The Ecuadorian people has to choose
03:55 between a government that knows how
03:57 to cover all the people's needs, or a government
04:01 that only cares about making money.

04:30 She said the people of Ecuador needs a government that

04:37 A government that knows the needs of the people
04:39 and strives for the well-being of its society.
04:43 She also called for public policies
04:45 that would support those that need them,
04:48 those that don't have the privilege of the higher
04:50 classes.
