A couple received a shock when they were listening to their son perform a cover to a well-known country song, only to realize he had changed the words to announce his wife's pregnancy. JT Garnett, 27, who live in Chicago, Illinois, said it's not uncommon for him to break out his guitar when he returns to his parents Cyndi and Joe's home, in Westfield, Indiana. And so, JT and wife Lindy thought music would be the perfect way to break their pregnancy news. The song choice, the couple said, was a no-brainer, as they've always loved "Next Thing You Know" by Jordan Davis since it was first released. The lyrics of the original also tied in with the couple's relationship, JT said, as it mentions "not really trying," which they linked to Lindy getting pregnant three years into their marriage. Having tweaked the words a little, JT then needed a reason to call Cyndi, 56, and Joe, 59, who were at home in Indiana. He decided to rest the guitar on his lap and then start up a video call for a "catch-up," and with JT having started the conversation with his parents, Lindy suggested that he play them his "new song he's learned."
