00:03 - Max Homa heckled over a $3 bet.
00:06 We've seen this happen previously in sports.
00:09 More and more fans are kind of getting on the athletes here
00:14 and saying, "Hey, I bet on you," or, "I lost on you,"
00:17 or, "Congratulations, I won."
00:19 And now it's bleeding over to the golf course.
00:22 - Yeah, Craig, Max Homa over the weekend playing an event,
00:25 I believe in Illinois, like the 17th hole, five-foot putt,
00:29 and a fan yelled something like,
00:31 "Hit it to the left," or something, whatever it was.
00:34 But he made the putt, thankfully.
00:36 And he said, the friend of this guy who heckled him
00:39 who was apparently drunk, he said, "Hey, I get it.
00:42 "I like the fact there's gambling in golf,
00:44 "but this is something you have to watch out for."
00:47 We saw over the weekend, even Lucas Paquetta
00:49 with Manchester City, that potential transfer deal,
00:51 being in limbo because of potentially some betting.
00:55 They're doing an investigation there.
00:57 We've seen the NCAA stuff.
00:58 We've seen the NFL stuff.
01:00 So, just another sport with this.
01:02 We saw it with Marty Fish
01:04 in the celebrity tournament with Steph Curry.
01:06 A fan had yelled during his backswing.
01:08 I believe he won that tournament.
01:10 So yeah, Craig, just something to watch out for.
01:14 People have been betting on golf, even on the course.
01:16 Friends say, "Hey, five bucks, he misses his putt,"
01:18 or, "Hits the green on a drive, a fairway."
01:21 But this is not good.
01:23 And again, he said, "I get it."
01:25 I don't wanna bet shame, basically, is what he said,
01:26 but $3 over this.
01:27 There's millions of dollars on the line
01:29 in these tournaments.
01:30 And then other people may have had maximum
01:31 to make that putt.
01:32 How much money was on him, even in that micro market?
01:35 Maybe it was a couple bucks,
01:36 but the idea of this in a sport where nobody talks
01:39 until after the shots are over, just like tennis.
01:43 Yeah, something to keep an eye on.
01:45 People have been doing this,
01:46 but now with the Fandled DraftKings ads,
01:48 just the oversaturation of advertising
01:50 that a lot of regulators have had to cut back on,
01:53 you hope that this doesn't happen.
01:54 And there's really, it's hard to police
01:56 because you just have people there around the green
01:58 or the fairway, and they can kind of do what they want.
02:01 But you hope this stuff doesn't happen.
02:03 You hope people are smarter than this.
