00:00 Many countries rely on large areas of agriculture to increase their production and production
00:08 for export purposes.
00:10 But first, the local market must be fed with these food supplies.
00:15 At the head of these countries stand Ukraine today and India in an attempt to protect their
00:21 agricultural products, especially after the recent weather conditions or the war conditions
00:26 that came on Russia and Ukraine.
00:28 One of the most prominent of these is probably food supplies, which are mainly grains and
00:33 oil.
00:35 Food protection or trade, in other words, may be due to the lack of food security for
00:42 a number of countries that rely heavily on imports.
00:45 We are talking about food protection because of these two conditions in particular.
00:50 The number of restrictions on food exports has increased by about 62% since last year,
00:58 since the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian war, which we are facing, and which is accompanied
01:03 by the climate crisis, drought, and perhaps other benefits that have limited the production
01:09 of agriculture.
01:10 176 restrictions on food exports and the lowest rate of implementation currently.
01:14 The return comes to 23 countries and imposes restrictions on food exports since the war
01:20 in Ukraine, which affected 17% of food exports and so on.
01:24 Even if grains or food were secured, the sources and the supplies also stand in a very
01:30 difficult situation.
01:31 And one of these harmful countries was with us, Egypt, where the cost of supplies was
01:37 rising, which raised the cost of meat.
01:39 India is increasing restrictions on the two largest products it exports, and at the
01:44 last minute, the onion, which was imposed by the Russians by 40% more on exports until
01:50 December 31.
01:51 And as for Indian rice, which is gaining popularity around the world, it is also threatened
01:58 that its supply will remain only for local processing.
02:02 We are talking about the reasons and safety risks, whether on the countries that import
02:07 or even on the countries that import these materials.
02:11 It controls prices locally, and therefore there is a plan to maintain supplies from being
02:17 scarce in it, and the fear of the Ukrainian war was one of the reasons for it.
02:22 As for other risks, it leads to a long-term shortage of global supply and increase in
02:27 prices, of course, and social tensions are created due to the shortage of these materials.
02:32 The food prices, which are returning to the rise, rose to a record high in mid-2022,
02:37 and the decline turned into a grain-to-grain black sea agreement.
02:41 And food prices are returning to the rise in July, especially in the field of vegetable
02:46 oil and rice.
02:47 And additional risks include climate change and the continuation of the war in Ukraine.
02:51 All of this will be a major reason for the rise in supplies and their shortage around
