Political parties must stand for an ideology --- Marcos

00:24 And that is because not only for political convenience, not only to prepare for elections,

01:04 Kaya kailangan merong, there has to be a central tenet, a central principle to what we are

01:13 And that is, we were talking here about the federalism.

01:18 And what we have started to do, kahit na in all but name, ating ginagawa ay talagang

01:26 ibinibigay ang discretion, ang power, ang function hanggat maari sa pinakamababa na

01:35 level na maari nating gawin.

01:38 So we are doing the first step of the federal government for the Philippines in all but

01:48 name.

01:49 And that is what we will continue to do.

01:52 And that is very simple, that derives from a very simple idea.

01:57 That the stability of a political structure is much more dependent, much more reliable

02:11 when we have many power centers.

02:15 If the power centers only belong here in Manila, then papagsakin mo yung Manila, pagsakan mo

02:20 yung Pilipinas.

02:22 But with the power centers being given to the local governments, to the local districts,

02:30 and to those who are operating at the local level, and thereby bringing those power centers

02:38 to many, many, many places, it makes for a more stable political structure and makes

02:45 a more stable political life.

02:48 Dahil kahit anong may mangyare sa isang lugar, kahit bumagsak yan, basta't nasira, hindi

02:55 na talaga pwede, nagkagera, whatever, tuloy pa rin yung mga iba.

03:01 Hindi nasisira ang buong sistema.

03:04 So that is what we are trying to do, and I'm very happy that we are at the beginnings of

03:12 this organization of our party, that we are at the beginnings of our dealings, not only

03:18 with our own party, but also with the other political players who are on the scene.

03:26 Kaya patitibayan natin ng husto, dahil mayroon talaga tayong ipinaglalaban.

03:32 Kailangan natin ng maraming kakampi, kailangan natin ng lahat ng tulong, at dyan na buhay

03:40 ang aming tinatawang na whole of government and whole of nation approach.
