Fire damages two factories in Kepong, man suffers burns on both hands

A 45-year-old factory director was injured in a fire at two factories in Kepong on Thursday (Aug 24) morning.  Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department deputy director Rozihan Anwar Mamat said that fire engulfed a motorcycle spare parts factory as well as a paper processing factory, and firefighters managed to have the fire under control at 12.36pm. 00:38 to have the fire under control at 12.36pm.

00:43 Rozihan said they managed to prevent the fire from spreading to other factories in the area,

00:49 adding that the motorcycle spare parts factory was completely destroyed while the paper processing

00:54 factory was 20 per cent damaged.

00:58 He said the victim, who is the director of the paper processing factory, suffered 10

01:03 per cent burns on both his hands in the fire and was sent to Hospital Selayang for treatment.

01:11 Firefighters were still sweeping the scene to ensure there were no more fire embers in

01:17 The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
