00:00 All 19 defendants facing charges related to efforts to overturn former President Trump's
00:05 loss in the 2020 election there in Georgia have officially turned themselves in.
00:09 They had a noon Eastern deadline today to surrender voluntarily.
00:14 And after Trump surrendered late Thursday, the remaining seven defendants surrendered
00:18 overnight and into the morning there on Friday.
00:21 The district attorney there in Fulton County, Georgia is now requesting for that trial to
00:25 start at the end of October.
00:27 But some of the defendants are now trying to get their cases moved to federal court.
00:33 Now that Donald Trump has been formally arrested for what we believe to be his final criminal
00:37 indictment, let's take a look.
00:39 Big picture at the four cases, how they're different and what's next.
00:44 Four cases in four different parts of the country.
00:47 That's what former President Trump is now facing.
00:50 The president's legal troubles are complex.
00:53 And in all, he's been charged with 91 different criminal counts.
00:57 Two of the cases are in federal court.
00:59 Those stem from Department of Justice Special Counsel Jack Smith's investigations.
01:04 The other two are in state court, one led by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg
01:08 and the other by D.A.
01:10 Fonny Willis in Fulton County, Georgia.
01:12 Now, even though the cases are playing out separately, there is some overlap.
01:16 The federal Washington, D.C. case and the Fulton County state case are both centered
01:21 on Trump's alleged attempts to overturn the 2020 presidential election.
01:25 Lies by the defendant targeted at obstructing a bedrock function of the U.S. government,
01:31 the nation's process of collecting, counting and certifying the results of the presidential
01:37 election.
01:38 The indictment alleges that rather than abide by Georgia's legal process for election challenges,
01:47 the defendants engaged in a criminal racketeering enterprise to overturn Georgia's presidential
01:55 election result.
01:57 The two other cases are unrelated to 2020.
02:00 In New York, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg filed a 34-count indictment against
02:04 Trump for allegedly falsifying business records.
02:08 Those charges stem from a hush money payment to Stormy Daniels.
02:11 Trial is scheduled for March 2024.
02:14 And in the federal case in Florida, Trump is facing 40 charges linked to alleged mishandling
02:18 of classified documents and obstruction of justice for resisting calls to give those
02:22 documents back.
02:24 Trump has two co-defendants, Walt Nauda and Carlos de Oliveira, and trial is set for May
02:28 2024.
02:31 We are likely to see numerous court filings and hearings as each one of these cases works
02:36 its way toward trial.
02:38 After each indictment, former President Trump denied any wrongdoing.
