00:15 Here in the inner mountain west, the issue of suicide is an issue of guns.
00:19 Everybody's got a state flower and a state bird and a state tree.

00:25 A lot of LGBT kids, especially trans kids, they're not just rejected, they're ejected.
00:30 I figured if I just disappeared, nobody would notice.
00:35 People call our clinic for one of two reasons.
00:37 They want to kill themselves, they have PTSD, and in most cases it's both.

00:45 Nothing was the same again.
00:47 Every single emotion you can imagine, you feel that when you lose somebody close to

01:26 When you work with someone who's struggling with suicidal thoughts, you're fighting with

01:32 When they shift, you can feel it.

01:34 The moment when life is starting to win, it's intoxicating.
01:43 There is a proverb that offers, "Tell me a fact and I will learn it.

01:51 But tell me a story and it will live in my heart."
