00:00 These are 12 of the creepiest bear encounters to be captured on security camera.
00:05 Number 12. In the beginning of this clip, a man can be seen taking a nap outside his home
00:13 near his swimming pool. Nothing seems to be out of the ordinary at first,
00:17 but after a few seconds something can be seen entering the scene.
00:22 [Music]
00:33 After drinking from the pool, the predator sees the man sleeping
00:37 and unfortunately gives into its curious nature.
00:40 [Music]
00:51 Bears are normally shy and scared of people, so it immediately runs away
00:55 as soon as it realizes that the man is awake.
00:58 Number 11. Here, a bear can be seen walking around a garden while dogs are heard barking at it,
01:06 wanting to be let out to confront the intruder.
01:09 [Music]
01:20 A few moments later, the dogs break out of their enclosure and start running towards the predator.
01:25 What happens next is chilling.
01:28 [Music]
01:41 Dogs have been used to protect territories since the ice age,
01:45 so it's not out of the ordinary to see these canines scare it away.
01:50 After chasing the animal away from the property, only one of the dogs comes back when called.
01:55 [Music]
02:05 Thankfully, according to the video description, both dogs were safe and unharmed.
02:11 Number 10. Not even your own house is safe,
02:16 as we can see this bear approaching and entering the property.
02:19 [Music]
02:32 Black bears, despite the stigma, are intelligent animals capable of using their knowledge wisely,
02:39 stealthily avoiding humans, and choosing their meals carefully.
02:43 There seems to be no one at home when the animal enters the house,
02:47 which is good, but then something terrible happens.
02:51 [Music]
03:04 The homeowners arrive after a trip to the store while the bear is still inside.
03:09 What happens next is something you should see for yourself.
03:12 [Music]
03:24 They run away, fearing for their lives,
03:27 but it seems like the bear was not interested in them, as it doesn't follow them.
03:32 Number 9. This encounter, captured on a Wyze cam,
03:38 begins by showing us a bear peeping through a window, and then accidentally breaking its frame.
03:44 [Music]
03:54 This gives the bear the opportunity to stick its head inside and search for
03:58 food to loot in this home's kitchen area.
04:01 [Music]
04:12 It begins sniffing around and eventually manages to snatch an item from the sink,
04:18 immediately retreating outside afterwards.
04:21 After that, it sticks its head inside again,
04:24 and starts searching for other things it can put inside its belly.
04:27 [Music]
04:40 This goes on for a few more minutes,
04:42 until the bear finally decides it has had enough and leaves the house alone.
04:47 Number 8. This short, yet haunting, clip shows a black bear
04:53 sprinting towards a family getting out of a car.
04:56 [Music]
05:02 It almost seems like the bear was going for the young boy beside the car,
05:06 but his mom pulled him away just in time.
05:09 The black bear is then seen sprinting away, as they are known to be easily frightened by humans.
05:15 Number 7. This next video is nothing but pure terror, as it opens by showing a bear
05:23 breaking into a garden and stealing bird food.
05:27 [Music]
05:42 After it manages to open the storage, it proceeds to eat the bird food,
05:46 when out of nowhere, the predator's feast is suddenly interrupted.
05:51 [Music]
06:06 What looks to be the owner's dog, bursts into the garden and charges the bear as soon as it sees it.
06:13 Bears are afraid of dogs, because dogs' barks reach a high decibel level of sound,
06:18 and they are also extremely similar to wolves.
06:21 The brave dog successfully chases the bear away, while being unharmed.
06:26 Number 6. A doorbell camera shows a bear approaching the entrance of a house,
06:34 while knocking down several Christmas decorations in the process.
06:37 [Music]
06:48 It plays with the decorations for a bit, until it eventually loses interest and decides to
06:53 sniff around the house walls. In doing so, it accidentally rings the doorbell,
06:59 and now we can only wish that the owner checks the camera first, before opening the door.
07:06 [Music]
07:16 Thankfully, the owner does check it, and as soon as he sees the bear,
07:20 he proceeds to talk loudly, in hopes of scaring it away.
07:23 "Bear, go. Bear, go away. Bear, go away. He's looking at me. Bear, go away."
07:34 After hearing the man talk through the doorbell speaker, the bear freaks out and runs away.
07:39 We can only imagine what would have happened if the man didn't check the camera first.
07:46 Number 5. An elderly woman can be seen peacefully taking a nap,
07:52 when all of a sudden something wakes her up.
07:54 [Music]
08:05 After waking up, the woman immediately gets up out of her chair, which frightens the predator,
08:10 causing it to also run away immediately. Bears do not normally hunt humans,
08:15 which explains the predator's docile nature when approaching the sleeping lady.
08:19 Fortunately, the bear does not attack the woman, instead opting to run away.
08:24 Number 4. This next clip begins by showing us a home security camera video of a bear
08:32 walking and messing around private property. The animal can be seen trying to climb an
08:37 enclosed area, and when it fails to do so, moves on to playing with a tree.
08:42 [Music]
08:52 Moments later, it disappears for a couple of seconds, until this happens.
08:56 [Music]
09:07 These predators use their paws, noses, and mouths to investigate different things they find lying
09:14 around. Unfortunately, this one becomes interested in the camera. After taking it off its stand,
09:20 the animal proceeds to check it further by sniffing and poking it with its claws.
09:24 [Music]
09:35 The bear eventually leaves it alone, and no one was harmed in the encounter.
09:39 Number 3. This CCTV footage shows a family of three coming home after a night out,
09:47 expecting their day to end in a peaceful night's rest. After the man closes the gate,
09:53 something grim enters the scene, missing the family by only a few seconds.
09:58 [Music]
10:08 Unfortunately, the woman goes outside again, walking towards the direction of the bears,
10:16 which is probably the unluckiest decision of her life.
10:20 [Music]
10:31 Female bears are extremely aggressive when they are with their cubs,
10:36 so the woman walking towards them is in grave danger.
10:40 [Music]
10:52 Despite the pressure, she is successful in saving her life and escaping the bears.
10:56 Number 2. A group of bears can be seen passing by a house, when suddenly one of them pauses
11:05 and seems to try to push the door open.
11:10 [Music]
11:18 One of the home residents notifies another person in the house,
11:21 leaving them both terrified, yet excited about the whole situation.
11:26 [Music]
11:37 Thankfully, after a while, the predator decides to leave their house alone.
11:41 Number 1. This next and final bear encounter is another CCTV clip showing us a bear walking up to
11:50 a car parked in this person's driveway.
11:58 [Music]
12:04 A few seconds later, a woman comes out of the house to grab something from her car,
12:08 but is instead met with the shock of a lifetime.
12:12 [Music]
12:22 She runs away screaming after failing to trap it inside.
12:26 Despite the initial encounter, the predator goes back to the scene
12:31 and proceeds to loot the basket the woman dropped earlier.
12:35 [Music]
12:44 The clip cuts short, but no one was harmed during this terrifying encounter.
12:49 Thanks for watching until the end.
