00:00 Hello everybody, my name is Marlow and today I'm going to be showing you guys 50 build
00:05 ideas for your Minecraft survival world.
00:08 I recently hit 50,000 subscribers on my channel and I thought sharing some of my builds and
00:14 giving all of you some inspiration would be a pretty cool way to celebrate.
00:18 So without further ado, here are 50 building ideas that will hopefully get those creative
00:23 juices flowing.
00:25 Now everybody makes a starter house, yes, but sometimes they lack something that makes
00:29 them unique.
00:31 I think a great way to improve a build is to add life to it, and something you can do
00:35 is to base it around an animal.
00:37 Like what I've done here, we have some busy bees living in the loft, and that is by far
00:43 my favourite part of my starter house.
00:46 But it's not the only part.
00:47 You can always expand downwards from your starter house and make a hidden piston door
00:52 leading to an underground storage room to hold all of your items.
00:57 Hidden entrances however don't always need to involve redstone.
01:00 You can always go with the classic of hiding a room behind a painting.
01:04 This is where I keep all of my backup gear in case of emergency.
01:08 Something every Minecraft player needs is a furnace or two, but occasionally you do
01:13 need more than that, which is when a super smelter comes in very handy, so I'd recommend
01:18 building one of those.
01:19 I'm also willing to bet that somewhere in your world you have a staircase leading down
01:24 underground to a mineshaft where you first started digging for diamonds.
01:29 How about turning that into a proper looking mineshaft?
01:32 Even if you don't use it much anymore, it still would be fun to spruce it up some.
01:37 One aspect of Minecraft that is often overlooked is landscaping.
01:40 In the wise words of GoodtimeswithScar, landscaping can hugely transform a build.
01:46 I don't actually know if that's something he's said exactly, but I do know it's something
01:50 that he stands for, and he's right.
01:53 So how about transforming the area around your house into something beautiful by adding
01:58 in some pretty flowers, ponds, and even some custom trees.
02:02 Maybe one of them could actually hold a treehouse to live in from time to time.
02:06 Keeping with that landscaping theme, how about making a custom river that you can sail down
02:11 on a boat?
02:12 This one even has a bridge you can go under, and that right there is another idea of something
02:17 you can add into your world.
02:19 Bridges!
02:20 Helping you get from point A to point B since, well, whenever bridges became a thing.
02:26 I don't really know exactly.
02:28 Animals are one of my favourite things in Minecraft, and you can make a lot of builds
02:32 for them, like my starter house that we began with for example.
02:36 Now there are four popular animals in this game.
02:39 Sheep, cows, pigs, and chickens.
02:41 And usually you would just make a small fenced off area for them, but how about building
02:46 something a bit bigger and more permanent like this free range animal barn here, allowing
02:51 them to roam freely and have a good life until you either need some leather, wool, feathers,
02:57 or pork chops.
02:58 Then it's time to bring out the sword.
03:01 Another animal you can build something for is the turtle.
03:04 I have made an entire island for these guys, and I think they like it.
03:08 At least I hope so.
03:10 If you're up for the challenge, you can try and tame every cat in the game and proceed
03:14 to build them a cat tower to spend their laziest days on.
03:18 Now, just beside my cat tower here is actually my mountainside base.
03:23 Although mountain may be a bit of a stretch, it's more a hill.
03:27 But this is actually built around a skeleton farm, which is something a lot of players
03:31 have in their worlds, and for good reason.
03:34 They are super helpful in the early game.
03:36 Adding in little details to your world can really tell a story and allow you to have
03:40 some fun with the lore.
03:42 Take this extinguished campfire as an example.
03:45 I like to pretend a weary traveler once camped out here in this cove overnight before setting
03:51 off again in the morning.
03:53 Things like this take no time at all and make your world feel lived in and a lot older than
03:57 it may actually be.
03:59 Something simple but very effective you can add into your world is pathways to connect
04:03 all of your builds.
04:05 This one right here leads to my custom village project, which is certainly one of the more
04:09 time consuming ideas on the list.
04:12 But let's actually head inside because there are a lot of individual ideas in the village
04:17 itself.
04:18 Such as some custom boats, a vineyard and winery, this windmill surrounded with crops,
04:24 a marketplace, this church right here, a tavern with places to drink, sleep and eat, a town
04:30 hall for you, the mayor, to sleep in, a custom garden filled with lots of little builds,
04:36 a graveyard or a single grave for a lost friend.
04:39 This one right here is for Clank, the iron protector of this village.
04:43 And here's a cool idea.
04:45 If you're not sure what to use your dragon egg for after taking it from the ender dragon
04:49 you have slain, why not build it a custom cave, plop it in the middle and wait for it
04:53 to hatch.
04:54 I cannot exactly guarantee it will ever do that but let's use our imaginations.
04:59 Something I have done with this village is build each villager profession their own home.
05:03 For example, this one right here belongs to the cleric.
05:07 There are a couple of professions however that I've had to share.
05:10 The librarians are one of them.
05:12 I've made them this huge library, each with their own individual rooms where I trade with
05:17 them.
05:18 And they were born over here in this villager breeder, where just above is a villager campsite.
05:23 I like to imagine these guys are exiles and have set up camp just a little ways away from
05:28 the village itself.
05:30 Another villager related build you can do is a villager trading hall.
05:34 Mine is actually on board this ship because, well, I wanted to do something a bit different.
05:39 Anyway, enough village and villager talk, let's head to the nether.
05:43 But before we do, how's about building yourself a custom nether portal to make it a bit more
05:48 interesting than the plain old obsidian.
05:50 Nowadays nether is much better than it used to be pre 1.16, and you can get away with
05:56 living in here for the most part, so why not make yourself a nether base.
06:00 Inside of here I have a mine specifically for ancient debris, where I then smelt it
06:05 into netherite in this forge.
06:07 There's a tutorial on my channel for this if you're interested in building it.
06:11 If you've got some strider buddies, you should make them a place to stay.
06:14 These are my strider stables.
06:16 A very popular build/farm you can do in the nether is a piglin bartering system.
06:22 There are other farms you can make in the nether, but this video is about build ideas,
06:27 not farm ideas, so I think we'll just count them as bonus ideas.
06:31 Here we go.
06:32 Hoglin farms produce an insanely helpful amount of porkchops and leather.
06:37 Basalt generators are good if you need lots of basalt for some reason.
06:41 You're gonna need a gold farm for all of that bartering you'll be doing.
06:44 And lastly a wither skeleton farm.
06:47 But do bear in mind those last two require an ungodly amount of spawn proofing.
06:52 One last nether build idea is to make a nether hub.
06:55 This is especially helpful on a server.
06:58 Switching it up and fast forwarding to December, you could make a Christmas village when the
07:02 festive time rolls around.
07:04 But maybe you're looking for a bigger project to kill some time on.
07:08 How about a mega base?
07:10 This is my guardian farm project and it took a lot of time to complete.
07:15 Another project that took a lot of time to complete is my custom mushroom island.
07:20 On here is a huge luxury modern mansion, some different vehicles, most of them waterborne
07:25 but a couple that fly if they weren't made out of solid blocks.
07:29 There is also a mushroom sanctuary because I didn't want to just take over this island
07:34 and give the native animals nowhere to live.
07:36 We also have a tiki beach and lastly an underground casino.
07:40 And here's a project you can really sink your teeth into.
07:43 Once you've beaten the ender dragon, how about transforming the entire end island?
07:49 Have fun with that.
07:50 I know I definitely did.
07:51 1.17, the caves and cliffs update is coming out sometime this year, so you're gonna need
07:56 some ideas for that too, right?
07:59 So if you're looking to set up in the caves, aka underground, here are some builds of mine.
08:05 And if you're looking to set up your base in the cliffs, aka mountains, here are some
08:09 more for that.
08:11 So there we go!
08:12 There are probably over 50 build ideas for all of you.
08:15 I really hope you did enjoy watching and it's given you some inspiration to get building
08:19 yourself.
08:20 But before I leave you here, I do just want to give the most massive thank you for 50,000
08:26 subscribers.
08:27 That number is actually crazy to me.
08:30 Never ever did I think I would reach that milestone.
08:32 I thought it was super cool when I reached 50 subscribers, which it is, don't get me
08:37 wrong.
08:38 But to have multiplied that by a thousand, just bonkers, really.
08:42 So thank you ever so much for the support everybody, it really is hugely appreciated.
08:47 And upwards and onwards, right?
08:49 I will see you at 100k, where we will be doing 100 build ideas for your Minecraft survival
08:55 world.
08:56 Just kidding, we'll be doing something different, hopefully.
08:59 I really look forward to it and I hope you guys do too.
09:02 Thank you once again and bye for now.
