00:00 Hungarian Prime Minister Orbán said that Ukraine has no chance of defeating Russia.
00:12 Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán called the idea that Ukraine is gaining the upper
00:18 hand in the conflict a lie in the West, and said that it is impossible to defeat Russia.
00:25 In an interview with American TV journalist Tucker Carlson, he said that without Western
00:32 help, Ukrainians are uncompetitive, and therefore the United States holds the keys to peace
00:39 in the region.
00:40 "It's a lie.
00:43 It's not just a misunderstanding.
00:46 It's a lie.
00:47 It's impossible.
00:49 Everyone in politics who understands logic, numbers, data has no chance."
00:55 Orbán replied to a request to comment on the prevailing opinion in the United States
01:01 that Ukraine is winning.
01:03 They will run out of soldiers sooner than Russia, he added.
01:08 According to Carlson, the number of Ukrainians killed goes to hundreds of thousands, and
01:13 Orbán added that there are ethnic Hungarians among them.
01:18 An attempt by any Western country to send its soldiers to Ukraine would mean a direct
01:25 war between the West and Russia.
01:28 And we will immediately find ourselves in World War III.
01:32 So now is a very dangerous moment, Orbán said.
01:36 The Russians, according to the Prime Minister, will not surrender their leader, will keep
01:42 the country from disintegrating and defend it, invest more money and produce more weapons
01:49 than their opponents.
01:51 So don't misunderstand the Russians, Orbán said.
01:56 When asked what he would do if he were at the head of NATO and was, say, Joe Biden,
02:04 Orbán replied.
02:06 Peace immediately.
02:07 And call back ex-US President Donald Trump.
02:13 That's all.
02:14 If the United States wanted, according to him, to restore peace by tomorrow morning,
02:21 they could do it.
02:22 It is obvious that Ukrainians are not able to pull it alone.
02:27 They are uncompetitive in this war.
02:30 If there is no money, weapons from the West and, especially, from the USA, then the war
02:37 is over.
02:38 The decision is in your hands, Orbán said.
02:42 Of course, this is.
02:44 About Ukrainians, they cannot be ignored, they must be involved.
02:49 But the real factor is not Ukraine, he added.
02:54 Orbán also called the idea of taking Crimea from Russia "completely unrealistic".
03:01 It's out of the question, he said.
03:04 Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine on February 24, 2022.
03:11 Russian President Vladimir Putin called its goal "the protection of people who have been
03:18 subjected to bullying and genocide by the Kiev regime for eight years".
03:24 He noted that "the special operation was a forced measure, Russia was left with no chance
03:30 to do otherwise, security risks were created such that it was impossible to react by other
03:38 means".
03:39 According to him, Russia has been trying to negotiate with NATO on the principles of security
03:46 in Europe for 30 years, but in response it has faced either cynical deception and lies,
03:54 or attempts of pressure and blackmail.
03:57 While the alliance, despite Moscow's protests, is steadily expanding and approaching the
04:03 borders of the Russian Federation.
