00:02 I know, brah.
00:04 [music]
00:11 Oh, that's a good sign.
00:13 He's letting me pet him.
00:15 [music]
00:26 Some are just happy to see a human.
00:28 [laughs] I love you too.
00:30 But definitely not all of them are happy to see me.
00:33 Sometimes they're pretty scared.
00:35 All right, he's safe in the bag.
00:37 [laughs]
00:40 Not happy, but safe.
00:42 [music]
00:50 That's a good boy.
00:52 [music]
01:00 What a sweet boy.
01:02 They can climb up a tree really well, but it's very difficult for them to climb back down a tree.
01:06 And in order to do so, they have to disengage each front claw one at a time.
01:10 So it's very difficult.
01:12 He wants to come down.
01:14 Yeah, he's pretty excited to come for you.
01:16 As you can imagine, it's probably pretty scary too.
01:19 Cats tend to put off trying it unless they get really desperate.
01:23 I mean, I've rescued cats that have been stuck in trees for seven or eight days.
01:27 You're ready to come down, huh?
01:29 The fire department may, in the very distant past, have rescued cats that are stuck in trees.
01:34 But nowadays, it's very, very rare for a fire department to respond to a cat rescue call.
01:39 So if a cat's stuck up a tree, usually I recommend that people wait 24 hours at least.
01:45 Many cats will figure out how to come down in that amount of time.
01:48 [MUSIC]
01:53 All right.
01:55 Yeah, you did it.
01:57 Yeah, you did a good thing.
01:59 Thank you.
