Transcript
00:00 Jennifer Love Hewitt is showing off her new 'do.
00:03 The actress left fans stunned with before and after Instagram selfies over the weekend
00:08 that show off her fresh cut and color.
00:11 Before and after @NikkiLee ready for fall Jennifer captioned the post.
00:16 The 9-1-1 star also reposted an Insta video from her hair stylist Nikki Lee, penning in
00:22 the caption "Was time to spice things up."
00:25 Jennifer's dramatic new look appears to be just in time for her favorite time of year.
00:30 The 44-year-old also teased her new Instagram account @theholidayjunkie, revealing how excited
00:36 she is to start on a new journey of all things holiday.
01:06 Is this the start of pumpkin spice season?
01:32 So happy PSL from me @theholidayjunkie.
01:59 Besides acting and holiday planning, Jennifer has been married to Brian Hallisay since 2013,
02:05 and they share three children together.
02:06 9-year-old daughter Autumn, 8-year-old son Atticus, and 2-year-old son Aiden.
02:11 AXS Hollywood chatted with the mom of three back in 2021, and she revealed what it was
02:15 like playing a pregnant part on her hit TV series, 9-1-1, while also sharing the great
02:20 advice she gave Kelly Clarkson after she won American Idol.
02:42 What's your favorite part of the show?
03:07 So, I'm excited to meet their little human.
03:35 I'm excited to see who that human's going to be and play that love story.
03:40 So it's been really fun.
03:42 And Maddie's character, again, with her boyfriend, the baby daddy, it's separate quarantining
03:47 that's happening.
03:48 Is that going to obviously affect a little bit of what's happening, especially with her
03:52 being pregnant?
03:53 Yeah, I think it's, you know, I think when we meet her in this season, I think she's
04:00 feeling the loss of a partner and the celebratory things that go on with having your first child
04:08 or a child in general.
04:10 She hasn't had that, you know, she's been living in an apartment with Chimney's brother,
04:13 and although Albert is wonderful, he is not Chimney.
04:16 And I think that what I love about it is that Maddie sort of has a different perspective
04:21 than Chimney.
04:22 She's a little bit like, yes, we have to be safe, but why can't we be safe together?
04:26 And it's really him who's panicked about bringing germs around her and, you know, all of that
04:30 stuff, quite rightly, but it's really him who's keeping them distant.
04:34 And so I think for Maddie, it's a little bit of like, you know, dude, you're going to have
04:39 to at some point reach back out and come back into the fold because my situation isn't changing.
04:45 So it's, you know, it's fun to see them kind of in that place when we start off, but they'll
04:50 be back together soon enough.
04:52 Something very sweet that I saw, and I just wanted to make sure I get this right.
04:56 So Kelly Clarkson revealed the kind of helpful advice you gave her earlier in her career.
05:03 Do you remember that moment and exactly what you said to her?
05:06 Obviously, I don't want to take your words, but it's important, obviously, for you to
05:10 keep friends close in the inner circle that specifically prompted you to give that advice
05:15 to her.
05:16 Who were those friends for you?
05:17 Yeah, you know, I remember meeting her.
05:19 I don't remember saying those exact things, but I remember meeting her and I remember
05:24 having that moment with only a couple of people at that time.
05:28 And at the time that I met her, first of all, I was such a fan and I was rooting for her
05:34 on American Idol and I just knew she was going to win because she's just extraordinary.
05:39 And I was probably geeking out and like about to throw up.
05:42 I was so excited to meet her in that moment.
05:43 So I was probably like, let me say something so that I can cover up that I'm nervous and
05:48 freaking out.
05:49 But I'm really glad that it meant something to her and that it touched her in that way.
05:54 And I do remember very much being at a time in my life where I was hyper aware of, you
06:00 know, when you first break out and you get to that moment where like people want to be
06:05 around you, they want to talk to you, they want to understand and you become a name,
06:09 so-called, you know, thing.
06:11 At that time, you're suddenly very aware that there are lots of people around you, but you
06:15 only want to talk to a few, like on a real level, because you have to have people that
06:23 remind you like that that stuff is great, but it's noise.
06:27 It's really an outer thing that is an engine that allows you to do what you love, right?
06:34 But it isn't who you are.
06:37 So I was very lucky that I had a mom that I was really close to, a brother that I was
06:42 really close to, a best friend that I was really close to, two best friends that I was
06:47 really close to at the time.
06:48 And those were really my people.
06:50 And they were loud.
06:51 They were loud about, "This is who you are.
06:54 That is not who you are.
06:55 That is fun.
06:56 And it's beautiful.
06:57 That's not who you are.
06:58 This is who you are."
06:59 Right.
07:00 I would come home from premieres and days of press and everything.
07:02 My mom would be like, "That's great.
07:03 Now we're going to take the trash out and we're going to clean our room and you're going
07:07 to help make dinner.
07:08 And that's awesome."
07:09 You know?
07:10 But I'm special, right?
07:11 She's like, "Not here."
07:12 So it was a real gift to me.
07:13 It was great.
07:14 And my best friend was like, "Yeah, that person's cool, but I just want to watch movies with
07:24 you and eat nachos and talk about boys.
07:27 I don't want to talk about what you did today on the set."
07:30 So it was great.
