00:02 Every year, Pleszew commemorates the anniversary of the Second World War.
00:07 Every year, we meet at the Polsat Powstańców Square
00:11 at the monument commemorating the 70th Infantry Regiment
00:16 to pay tribute to all those who fought and died during this cruel war.
00:23 Every year, we also hosted the 16th Airborne Battalion Honor Company in Jarocin.
00:30 There were also numerous delegations of standard post offices,
00:33 delegations of self-government, various public institutions operating in Pleszew,
00:40 as well as non-governmental organizations.
00:42 We put together flowers, lit candles and in this way we paid tribute to the fallen.
00:48 Residents of Pleszew, soldiers of the Polish Army, compatriots,
00:53 we stand today to the solemn memorial at the Powstańców Wielkopolskich Square in Pleszew
00:59 on the 84th anniversary of the Second World War,
01:03 to commemorate the heroes who gave their lives for their homeland in 1939.
01:10 With our heads bowed, we pay tribute to all our compatriots
01:16 for whom the homeland has remained the highest good until the last moment of their lives,
01:21 and who have sacrificed themselves to show that Poland has not yet perished.
