00:00 Well, I got the idea for Bobby's Triple Threat by watching an old movie with Paul Newman
00:05 and Tom Cruise called Color of Money.
00:07 It gave me the idea to think about some other people who are at the top of their game, who
00:13 could use a little mentoring but also could, you know, take the stage.
00:17 The show is very, very simple.
00:19 There's three titans.
00:20 It's Brooke Williamson, Michael Votaggio, and Tiffany Derry.
00:23 I'm basically like the matchmaker.
00:26 I bring in one very, very skilled chef to take on all three of them.
00:30 And if the chef can cumulatively beat the titans in terms of points, they get to take
00:35 home $25,000.
00:37 And they also get a locker in the club forever so that they can store their, you know, a
00:41 set of their knives and an apron so they're welcome here any time.
00:45 This show is really difficult for the challenging chef because, well, first of all, they have
00:48 to take on three of the toughest chefs in the business.
00:52 And you know, it's all about stamina.
00:57 It's lots of cooking all in one night.
00:59 So each one of these titans brings a different attitude, a different cuisine, and a different
01:04 approach.
01:05 You have Brooke Williamson, whose food is just always delicious, and it's food that
01:12 everybody wants to eat.
01:13 Then you have Michael Votaggio, who, you know, in some ways we call him the mad scientist.
01:20 We don't have any idea what Michael's going to do when he gets in the kitchen, and that's
01:23 the great thing about Michael.
01:25 So Tiffany Derry, she has an amazing command of upscale southern cuisine, but the secret
01:34 to Tiffany is her world travels.
01:36 She has traveled everywhere in the world, and you'll see bits and pieces of that inspiration
01:41 in her cuisine, and you don't see it coming.
01:43 It's a private club.
01:44 It's got that feel.
01:45 It's very clubby.
01:46 And you only get invited if you're here to challenge, or if you've been here before and
01:51 you've won.
01:52 It kind of has that sort of moody feeling.
01:53 It's a little dressy.
01:55 The audience is even dressed up a little bit more than on most cooking shows.
02:00 And the goal here is to witness some of the best food in the world taking place round
02:08 after round.
02:09 What does it take to win this competition?
02:12 Well, tenacity, determination, focus, and lots of good flavor.
02:20 If you are lucky enough to come in here and beat the Titans, you get $25,000, but it's
02:27 not easy, and it's all or nothing.
02:31 There's no partial wins, so you either take home the $25,000 or you get zero.
02:37 The judging is also very different from most cooking competitions.
02:41 There's one single judge for the entire evening.
02:43 It's a judge that I have a lot of respect for, somebody I've known in the past, somebody
02:48 whose credentials I really respect.
02:52 And it's all on them.
02:54 They have a very hard, but a very important job here.
02:58 Could I beat the three Titans?
03:03 I guess we'll have to find out one day.
