00:00 >> George said you were out there with the guys today.
00:01 So is that like back officially practicing in a full capacity or
00:05 they're ramping you up?
00:06 How's that going?
00:07 >> I mean, just getting back out there, working with the guys and
00:10 just getting in shape and things of that nature.
00:12 So I mean, that's really much all that was.
00:15 >> It being your arm, does that mean that you're probably in better condition than
00:19 you would be if it was a hamstring or something like that?
00:20 Cuz you were able to run and do all that stuff.
00:24 >> You would think.
00:24 [LAUGH] No, I mean, the body's crazy.
00:27 You sit down for a couple weeks.
00:29 You know what I mean?
00:29 I had to, obviously, until they gave me clearance to start moving it.
00:33 So just getting back in shape, like I said, that's the biggest thing.
00:36 And you work up from the summertime to then you go into that first camp with all
00:40 that conditioning, so you lose all that.
00:42 So trying to get back to where I feel comfortable and things of that nature.
00:46 >> How can you guys handle this off season, the running back from,
00:50 not a lot of continuity, do you just roll with it?
00:54 >> I mean, I think we have continuity.
00:56 I mean, I was here last year, Deion was here last year.
00:58 JT's been here, obviously.
01:00 Falk was here with us last year as well.
01:04 Evan and Jason, they just got here this year, but
01:06 they were here all the other days with things of that nature.
01:09 So I mean, we all sit next to each other.
01:12 We all have a good room.
01:14 Guys come to work, nobody's really worried about things that you can't control.
01:19 So I think everyone's in a good spot, and Roman's in a sweet one.
01:23 >> And JT's something you can't control.
01:26 >> I mean, we're all our own person.
01:29 So we do our job and that's all we can do.
01:32 >> Do you feel like from an offensive standpoint,
01:36 like obviously you missed a lot of training camp.
01:37 Do you feel like from an offensive standpoint, you can kind of get back in and
01:41 just hit the ground rolling in terms of the plays and that kind of thing?
01:45 >> I mean, I've been spaying up on the plays and things like that, but
01:47 you can't really get into that until you start doing them 100%.
01:51 You know, getting that contact and all that type of stuff and
01:53 getting the feel for everybody.
01:54 But the offense is real good and guys, they make my job a little bit easier.
01:59 Just gotta work off of them.
02:00 So I think it'll be something I can get back accustomed to pretty easily.
02:04 >> What's today your first day back at practice?
02:05 >> No comment on that.
02:09 >> When Shane says it's gonna be running back by committee and
02:12 like kind of riding the hot hand,
02:14 what is your mentality you have to be with that kind of being the mindset?
02:17 >> Play ball.
02:18 >> [LAUGH] Simple as that?
02:21 >> Simple as that, that's what we get paid to do.
02:23 >> Because you've been out, Zach, how long is it gonna take to get used to what
02:26 this offense is gonna be like for you with Anthony's quarterback?
02:30 >> I think I'm gonna have to figure out his play style and
02:33 what he likes and things of that nature.
02:34 So obviously I've been missing time with him being the guy and things like that.
02:38 So that's something I think we'll get back pretty fast and
02:42 something we'll go through and see the go of.
02:44 >> Are you playing this week or is it like you're playing this season?
02:47 >> No comment.
02:48 >> I mean, I haven't.
02:50 >> You haven't?
02:51 I know.
02:52 >> How does Anthony impact the run game?
02:55 What you guys are able to do is running back?
02:57 >> The box is lighter.
02:59 I mean, I played with Josh Allen for three years in Buffalo, so
03:03 I understand when you have a guy like that, what that means for ourselves, for
03:08 the O-line and everyone around us.
03:10 So it gives you a chance to be in a good predicament as a run offense.
03:15 And I mean, it's a good thing for running back as well, obviously.
03:18 >> Is that confusing? You have a child that's on the season,
03:21 you have an arm injury.
03:23 In a way, were you able to sit down and be around your family more than you would
03:26 have anticipated going into it?
03:28 >> Kinda, yeah.
03:28 I mean, the good thing is training camp here is a little different cuz I was only
03:34 ten minutes away, so I can go home and go see them literally every single night.
03:38 And then when I got injured, I was home.
03:41 And just being able to be there from morning time to night time and
03:44 just kind of be around my family, that was good.
03:46 So it was definitely some bright spots in there for sure.
