Luke Donald announces Ryder Cup picks for Team Europe

Luke Donald feels Team Europe have the right balance of experience and youth to write Ryder Cup history

00:11 Very excited about them.

00:13 Now it's crunch time.

00:14 We have three weeks to really get the team ready for Rome

00:17 and couldn't be more excited with the 12 gentlemen

00:20 that are joining me on this journey.

00:28 This is feeling very, very real.

00:30 Obviously it's nice to get this out today.

00:34 We're 12 strong now.

00:35 We know where we are, where we stand

00:38 and what we need to do.

00:39 So excited for the next three weeks

00:42 and obviously the road to Rome.

00:44 Yeah, my six captains picks are Tommy Fleetwood,

00:52 Seb Straucher, Justin Rose, Shane Lowry,

00:56 Nikolaj Hojgaard and Ludwig Eberk.

00:59 Obviously a great mixture of people have experience,

01:03 some fresh young blood and rookies.

01:05 It's just a great combination.

01:07 And they all have their own individual talents

01:11 that they're gonna bring to this team

01:12 and couldn't be more excited.

01:14 We have three of the top four in the world.

01:19 We have some young blood that are raring and ready to go.

01:22 We have guys that have been there before

01:24 and secured points for Europe.

01:27 And I think it's a great mix.

01:30 These guys are 12 fearless golfers

01:33 that are ready to write their own chapter

01:35 and their history in these Ryder Cup books.

01:38 And I'm excited to be joining

01:40 and being a small part of their journey.
