00:00 Good morning everyone. This is our final update on the Ineng storm.
00:07 Philippine Air Air Force was released with the responsibility at 4am this morning.
00:12 So we will update you on this on September 6, this Wednesday.
00:16 In our latest satellite images, at 4am, the Ineng storm is at 1240km away.
00:27 It has an international name, Yun Yong.
00:30 Yun Yong comes from Hong Kong, China.
00:35 It means a type of beef.
00:37 Yun Yong is also known as a type of drink that is made from tea and coffee.
00:44 At the moment, the Ineng is at 55km/h in the middle.
00:49 And it falls at 70km/h. It moves from north to south at a speed of 20km/h.
00:58 So for now, we don't have a storm that is being monitored inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
01:03 We also don't have a low pressure area that is being monitored.
01:06 So possibly, at least in the next two days, we will have a small chance of having a storm until the end of this week.
01:13 But the Southwest Monsoon is still a myriad.
01:16 Although we expect that it will be weaker in the next few days,
01:20 the strong winds that you remember, the typhoon Hanna,
01:24 has already reached the part of China.
01:27 So for now, we are just expecting a particular rainfall in the northern part of the province,
01:33 the Ilocos region, Bataan, and Zambales.
01:37 Other parts of the province, including Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Cordillera,
01:43 the sky is just cloudy but the chances of rain are lower.
01:49 In the southern part of the country, in our countrymen in Visayas, Mindanao, Bicol region,
01:55 and in the Cagayan Valley region,
01:59 we expect the usual localized rain showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon,
02:04 until the evening, sometimes in the early morning. It doesn't last long.
02:09 In the latest track of the Siningh storm, we can see that the storm is already at the boundary of Par.
02:15 This storm was at 2am, and at 4pm, it continued to leave our boundary.
02:22 And later at 2pm, at more than 1,400 kilometers east northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon.
02:30 So this is already outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
02:34 We don't expect this to affect our country.
02:38 And we don't expect this to be strengthened by the low winds.
02:42 Today, it is still possible that the rain will fall, particularly in the Ilocos region, Zambales, and Bataan.
02:49 In other parts of our country, it is possible that there will be localized rain showers and thunderstorms.
02:54 In general, it is possible that we will experience a hot weather in a large part of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
03:01 Tomorrow, we expect that it will rain in Batanes and Babuyan Islands, which is affected by the storm.
03:09 It is possible that it will affect those areas.
03:11 But we expect that the storm will continue to weaken in the next few days.
03:16 And we are still reminding you that even though the storm is weakening,
03:20 in areas where it is possible that there will be rain showers, particularly in the Ilocos region, Bataan, and Zambales,
03:26 it is still possible that there will be sudden floods or landslides, especially if this part of our country has been raining for a few days.
03:33 We also have a high gale warning, even though it has been reduced.
03:37 This part of the western section of Luzon, the areas of Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Zambales, and Bataan,
03:46 and some areas of Batanes and the northern coast of Cagayan, the sea is still a bit rough,
03:51 so it is still dangerous for small sea vehicles and small boats to sail here,
03:56 so it is best to avoid sailing here in the areas of our country.
04:00 And we are still inviting you, we still have updates for the gale warning,
04:07 possibly later at 5 p.m., we will release another update for our gale warning,
04:12 and also for the weather advisories that our agency is releasing.
04:16 And most importantly, this update is more often than not, the thunderstorm and rainfall advisories
04:21 from the various regional services divisions of Pag-asa,
04:25 so you can know the specific areas where there will be floods, how long, and what are the ranges of floods that we can experience, moderate or heavy.
04:34 And for our other updates, you can go to our website, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and our website pagasa.ust.gov.ph.
04:45 And live from Pag-asa Weather Forecasting Center, I am Obet Badrina.
04:51 Let's always be ready for a safe Philippines.
04:54 Thank you for watching. Have a nice day.
