00:00 Hi I'm Laura Reid, the Assistant Features Editor at the Yorkshire Post. I've just come on to talk you through some of the features that we've run online and in print this week in case you've missed them.
00:10 Lots of long reads to be going at and we've of course got more coming up for you in our Yorkshire Post magazine published on Saturday as part of our weekend edition.
00:21 So at the start of the week we looked at the relationship between Anne Lister, who is of course the diarist whose story inspired the Gentleman Jack series, and her first female love as a schoolgirl with a girl called Eliza Raine.
00:38 So their relationship is the base of a new fictional book by author Emma Donoghue, so we caught up with her.
00:45 We also spoke to fundraiser Denise Lester, she's taking part in a night time marathon for the 10th time this year, and that's in honour of her daughter who died after being diagnosed with breast cancer.
00:58 We also heard from a former stuntman who coordinated Emmerdale's famous air disaster as his latest book is published, and we looked at a first of its kind play being staged in York which focuses on the environment not only in topic but in production too.
01:16 Elsewhere, Davina McCall who's due to speak in Leeds as part of the International Festival of Ideas has spoken about midlife love and a new dating show that she's hosting.
01:27 And country superstar Shania Twain says that she's enjoying her voice as she prepares to embark on a UK tour with a date in Leeds.
01:36 Finally, in Arts and Culture we told the story of a new project launched by Wakefield Arts Organisation, Empath Action, to raise awareness of the life and work of often overlooked Castleford artist Albert Wainwright, who was a contemporary of Henry Moore.
01:50 And we also heard how Sir Matthew Bourne hopes to reach younger audiences with his latest production, Romeo and Juliet.
01:58 We have also now got a weekly Yorkshire Lifestyle newsletter that comes out on a weekend with lots of content from the Features team from the week, so please do consider signing up for that if you want to keep up to date.
02:16 There'll be our magazine stories, health stories, human interests, property, food and drink, arts and culture and lots more.
