McIlroy looking to improve Ryder Cup record
The Ryder Cup gets underway in Rome in three weeks' time.

00:00 I think everyone probably thinks they could be doing more.
00:04 Yeah, 18 holes match play is certainly not a toss of a coin,
00:11 but you're going to come up against guys that are playing.
00:16 I've had some Ryder Cup matches where I haven't played very well,

00:21 and I've played some great Ryder Cup matches that I've ended up losing.
00:25 So there's two different ways of looking at it,
00:29 but I feel like over the course of the six Ryder Cups that I've played,
00:32 that I've made a good contribution to most of the Ryder Cups that I've played.
00:37 I think last year was the first time that I had a losing record in any Ryder Cup that I'd played.
00:46 I think even going back to France, Hazeltine, Gleneagles,
00:51 yeah, Medina, Celtic Manor, I think I'd won more than I'd lost, which was good.
00:57 So I think last year maybe skews the numbers a little bit.
01:01 But yeah, I think it's important to feel like you're doing your bit for the team.
01:08 And as everyone saw last time, I didn't feel like I did what I was supposed to,
01:14 and I'm obviously trying to put that right this year.
