00:00 Danny Masterson is sentenced to 30 years to life in prison for raping two women.

00:07 NBC News reports the That '70s Show actor was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison on each of two rape charges.

00:16 The judge has reportedly ordered the star to serve the terms consecutively.

00:20 It follows the former sitcom star's trial in May,

00:23 during which a jury found him guilty of raping two women at his Hollywood Hills home from 2001 to 2003,

00:32 during the time he starred on his popular sitcom.

00:35 The seven-woman, five-man jury could not reach a verdict on a third count,

00:39 which alleged Masterson raped a former girlfriend.

00:43 According to the Associated Press, the three women identified at trial as Jane Doe's one through three

00:50 took the stand and testified about the trauma they endured after the alleged crimes.

00:56 The May trial was the second time that the prosecution's case against Masterson was presented to a jury.

01:03 Back in November of 2022, a mistrial was declared after the jury was unable to come to unanimous decisions

01:11 for all three charges of forcible rape that Masterson was facing.

01:16 In response to the sentencing news on Sept. 7, the Los Angeles District Attorney says in a statement obtained by The New York Times,

01:44 After he was first charged in 2020, the actor pleaded not guilty to all three counts

01:50 and maintained his innocence throughout both trials.

01:54 E! News has reached out to Masterson's attorneys for comment and has not yet heard back.
