00:00 24 people visiting Six Flags in Bowie, Maryland were stuck 100 feet in the air
00:04 for nearly three hours when the roller coaster they were riding broke down and
00:09 came to a grinding halt. As scary as this must have been, can you imagine waiting
00:13 in line for hours only to get on to the ride and wait for hours? The ride, named
00:20 "The Joker's Jinx," malfunctioned around 5:30 p.m. You see, I knew the Joker was
00:25 behind this. "It wouldn't be called The Joker if it wasn't great." Local rescue
00:30 crews arrived quickly and started evacuating the children from the ride
00:33 first. Soon everybody was off of the ride safe and sound by about 9:30 p.m. Six
00:39 Flags released a statement saying, "Joker's Jinx did not complete its regular
00:43 ride cycle, causing it to stop at a safe location on the track. The safety of our
00:47 guests is our highest priority and the ride will be closed for a thorough
00:50 inspection before reopening." A similar thing happened in August 2014 when
00:55 two dozen riders were stuck for up to five hours because of a malfunction on
00:59 "The Joker's Jinx." Willis Wheeler on Twitter sums it up best. "Never riding a
01:03 roller coaster named after a crazy killer clown." What would you do if you
01:06 were trapped high in the air by the clown prince of crime? For more trends
