00:00 Hello everyone, you're on the Buffalo Channel.
00:02 At the core of the animal world is a struggle for survival.
00:06 In order to feed and survive,
00:07 animals put up real battles between themselves every day.
00:11 Don't forget to leave a comment
00:13 about which fight impressed you the most.
00:15 Let's start.
00:16 (animal growling)
00:20 Capybaras versus Pit Bull.
00:26 Here you see how a naughty Pit Bull
00:29 decided to attack a pack of capybaras.
00:31 A capybara is a rodent that weighs up to 65 kilograms
00:37 and looks very much like a huge guinea pig.
00:39 Capybaras are semi-aquatic
00:41 and spend most of their time in water.
00:43 So for a dog to fight in water
00:45 with a pack of such giant guinea pigs
00:47 is doomed to failure in advance.
00:49 But the dog still confidently swims toward them
00:56 despite the bites and attacks of the capybaras,
00:59 who are just protecting their nest and offspring.
01:01 The Pit Bull pays no attention at all
01:09 to the cries of his mistress,
01:11 who calls out to him on the other shore.
01:13 Good thing the capybaras weren't too aggressive
01:19 and the dog returned to his mistress unharmed.
01:23 (animal growling)
01:26 Orcas versus Seal.
01:32 Orcas never tire of distinguishing and surprising
01:36 with their intelligence and cleverness.
01:38 Scientists from the Research Center
01:40 observed orcas in Western Antarctica.
01:42 If a seal is hiding on an ice floe
01:47 and thus is out of the predator's reach,
01:49 several orcas attack this rookery,
01:51 creating powerful waves that either wash away the victim
01:55 or split the ice floe itself.
01:57 As soon as the seal is in the water,
02:00 the animals in the whole gang try to eat it,
02:03 but the nimble seal manages to climb back up.
02:05 In total, zoologists observed 14 attacks
02:09 in 12 of which orcas adopted the tactics of killer waves.
02:13 Reports of similar killer whale tricks have appeared before,
02:18 but they were rare and isolated observations.
02:21 (animal growling)
02:24 Crocodile versus Elephant.
02:34 Visitors to a national park in Africa
02:37 filmed a ferocious crocodile predator
02:40 attacking the world's largest land mammal.
02:42 It clawed at the trunk of an elephant
02:46 that had come to the watering hole with its herd
02:49 and was the first to approach the water.
02:51 The elephant herd did not immediately rush to the rescue,
02:55 but the largest elephant
02:56 did quickly drive the crocodile away.
02:59 If the elephant had been smaller,
03:01 such a duel would probably have ended sadly.
03:04 There are many known cases of crocodiles
03:09 attacking the trunk.
03:18 It is very difficult to escape from such jaws,
03:20 but most often they end in the elephant's victory.
03:23 Tiger versus Tiger.
03:31 The biggest and most formidable of the big cats
03:35 is the tiger.
03:37 Adult Amur tigers reach three and a half meters in length
03:40 and can weigh over 300 kilograms.
03:43 (dramatic music)
03:46 It can kill a horse with one swing of his paw.
03:52 As a rule, a tiger is groomed by a single male
03:55 during the breeding season,
03:57 but when the number of males is high,
03:59 fights for the right to possess a female may occur.
04:02 It seems that this deadly battle is fought over the tigress.
04:12 It is the wildlife, the strongest wins,
04:15 because this is the only way for the offspring
04:18 to get the best genes.
04:19 Cow versus ram.
04:26 It is not clear what exactly these guys did not share,
04:31 but it was a very funny battle.
04:33 The cow apparently remembered
04:35 what it was given the horns for
04:36 and decided to fight the forehead punching champion.
04:41 Maybe it just wanted to protect the calf,
04:43 but the instant knockout for the cow was a surprise to me,
04:46 while the ram calmly stood up as if nothing had happened.
04:49 Whether the cow survived after that, I do not know,
04:55 but a concussion is assured for it.
04:57 Giraffe versus giraffe.
05:02 This fight looks very unusual and clumsy,
05:04 but clashes between giraffes for leadership
05:07 in the family group are very common.
05:08 (dramatic music)
05:11 Giraffes fight through neck and head blows.
05:25 The fight can last quite a long time,
05:27 and sometimes there are even injuries,
05:29 falls, and even a knockout.
05:31 (dramatic music)
05:34 And also, in a fight, giraffes never use prohibited blows,
05:42 and only a real enemy who threatens its life
05:45 can get a hoof.
05:46 Hawk versus bird.
05:50 I do not know what kind of bird it chose as the prey,
05:56 but it is the kind of professional aerial attack
05:58 I had to show you.
06:00 (dramatic music)
06:02 Hawks are extremely agile birds,
06:06 fast, and with lightning-fast reactions.
06:09 Their eyesight is excellent,
06:11 and they can spot their prey up to several kilometers away
06:14 while soaring in the sky.
06:16 (dramatic music)
06:19 Having tracked its prey, the bird makes a lightning dash
06:25 and grabs it with its powerful clinging paws.
06:28 However, during the chase, the hawk is so focused
06:30 on its prey that it may not notice an obstacle,
06:33 such as a tree or a house in front of it.
06:35 (dramatic music)
06:38 If anyone recognizes a bird attacked by this raptor,
06:48 post in the comments.
06:49 (dramatic music)
06:57 Lion versus leopard.
06:59 Obviously, fights and battles between these predators
07:04 are only possible for food,
07:05 and in some cases, for territory.
07:07 The weight of the leopard is 60 to 80 kilograms,
07:13 so the lion can outweigh it three times.
07:16 The outcome of the clash is predictable,
07:20 so leopards usually have to flee,
07:22 and the lions act very carefully
07:24 when clashing with leopards,
07:25 not trying to kill, but only to chase away
07:27 the unwanted guest.
07:29 (dramatic music)
07:34 Lion versus hyena.
07:43 Wildlife is cruel enough, and in the struggle for survival,
07:49 predators have to fight endless battles for food.
07:55 In the African savanna, the most irreconcilable
07:58 and uncompromising opponents are lions and hyenas.
08:01 Hyenas are still poorly studied nocturnal predators,
08:04 while lions are considered one of the most intelligent
08:07 and dangerous hunters.
08:08 In this fight, the advantage was clearly
08:17 on the side of the hyenas,
08:19 the whole pack against one poor lioness
08:21 who had to flee and hide from them in a tree.
08:25 (dramatic music)
08:27 And now some unusual videos about lions.
08:32 You see how the African buffalo did not like the lioness
08:35 who was resting near its herd.
08:37 The buffalo, like a real protector, attacked it,
08:39 hooked the horn, threw over itself, and ran away.
08:42 (lion growling)
08:46 (dramatic music)
08:49 It's a very funny case.
09:03 A warthog accidentally walked into a pack of sleeping lions
09:07 and running past scared the lions,
09:09 who didn't even realize what had happened.
09:11 (dramatic music)
09:14 And here then, the lions realized that they had to hurry up
09:24 and make a run for it, because everyone in Africa
09:27 is afraid of the big rhinoceros.
09:41 I hope you enjoyed the episode
09:43 with the incredible animal battles.
09:45 Don't forget to like and subscribe to the Buffalo channel,
09:48 and thanks to everyone who watched to the end.
