00:00 >> You led the most laps today and most of the time seemed like you had the fastest car.
00:03 Was it -- did it just come down to decision making, you and the team?
00:07 >> Yeah, yeah.
00:08 We got kind of bit there.
00:09 I think it started with me.
00:10 I was the leader and you know that the bottom lane is the better lane to restart in as a
00:16 control car.
00:17 I just wanted to try the outside.
00:18 You had one from there earlier in the race.
00:20 I just wanted to learn.
00:23 And ended up losing control.
00:25 And then, you know, chase was in front of us.
00:28 And then we both stayed out there.
00:31 And the 12 poked my outside.
00:32 I was trying to run hard through one and two.
00:34 I got really loose and had to -- almost crashed.
00:37 And then just got eight up from there.
00:39 And basically just tried to nurse it to the next pit stop and then fight again.
00:44 That's what we did.
00:45 Just -- yeah.
00:46 Just kind of took ourselves out of it.
00:49 But you know, all in all, still a great weekend.
00:52 Qualified well.
00:53 Won a stage.
00:54 Had the best car today for sure.
00:56 You know, we could drive off to a big lead.
00:58 So yeah.
00:59 We'll just take the positives from the day and roll on to Bristol, a track we run really
01:03 well at and try to put it all together.
01:06 >> What was going on with that late pit stop?
01:08 It was kind of jamming, getting off the road.
01:09 Looked like you got moved up into your teammate.
01:11 >> Yeah.
01:12 Yeah.
01:13 I mean, that's the first time I've seen it right there.
01:14 We were just -- you know, from my vantage point, I knew we were three wide leaving.
01:18 And you know, I knew -- well, I didn't know.
01:22 But at the time, you know, the 6 is pitted in front of us.
01:23 And I just -- I'm trying to leave as much space as I can.
01:28 You know, he's coming out into the lane quickly because he wants -- the 6 wants to slow us
01:33 down.
01:34 And I just -- I tried to leave as much space as I could.
01:37 Obviously I made contact with him.
01:39 But I felt like if I didn't, I was going to clobber the 6, you know, right in the right
01:43 front.
01:44 And I thought the safest bet for all of us was for me to squeeze out a little bit.
01:48 So I understand why he's mad or was mad in the moment.
01:52 I hope when he sees the replay, he understands I didn't have any space or not much, you know,
01:57 just inches.
01:58 So, yeah, just a bummer.
02:00 But I'm glad that neither of us got tore up there and we could, you know, get a good finish.
02:05 >> All right.
02:06 Kyle's a Darlington winner, fourth today on a hard-fought day with a fast car, Rick.
